A vídeo about the recent Magnus Carlsen and Hans Niemann game would be great. Not referring to a video about your vision on the topic or if he cheated(unless you would like to) but about the chess itself.

Love your content so much! Thanks so much for putting so much into this, I can’t begin to explain how helpful your videos have been for me and probably so many others. Anxiety can sometimes keep me up at night or stress me out during the day, but videos like these are always so relaxing and they totally distract from whatever might be going on.. and the educational value of your content is immeasurable; between the theory and history, this channel is a goldmine. I actually wasn’t even that into chess before I found your channel. I felt it was “too smart for me.” But now I’m finding myself studying different openings and gambits. I see the beauty and perfection in the game it’s awesome, thanks a lot seriously..

I am really interested as of what the current situation behind the champs withdrawal from the sfc actually means. I would not go so far as to think that Nieman is using an engine but many facts seem to point at magnus having someone in his team who is leaking his prep. But we will probably know sooner or later. Anyway thanks for the the video
@Hailiums
@Hailiums Жыл бұрын
Without any proof it's not safe to say Hans is cheating. Even if someone in Magnus' camp is leaking prep, proving that Hans is using it to beat Carlsen is the burden of the accusor. My personal belief is that Nieman is not cheating. I feel that Magnus is just not playing his best chess. Even the greatest of greats make mistakes. Belittling the winner of the match with accusations seems small minded.

@ASMRChess
@ASMRChess Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! IF Kasparov was allowed 2 moves he could indeed win as you describe. However our opponent also gets to move and after knight to g4 a move such as bishop to g3 (attacking the queen) helps white more than black.

Thank you for the very enjoyable video. I'm a bit of a noob at chess, can anyone answer these questions please? @45:00 What would happen if MC captured GK's pawn with the bishop? @48:05 What would happen if MC just pushed his pawn forward two squares instead of retreating with the king?
@granthefato340

If your talking about E5 for the first one the king would just eat the bishop leaving him with a rook and a few pawns
@granthefato340
@granthefato340 Жыл бұрын
And for the 2nd one he was being attacked by a rook directly on top, the pawn would just scrape by the king still leaving the king in check, which is actually an illegal move believe it or not, no blundering with king

Oh i dont know if your talking about a differen time stamp, but if you meant 47:38 then that would just be kinda not the best move in that scenario, not a baaad move but def not the best, im no pro at chess either but the way Magnus fully stopped a push was really well played and i could never
@3DCGdesign
@3DCGdesign Жыл бұрын
I appreciate your reply very much, thank you for trying to help me understand. I'm sorry for not knowing the terminologies well enough to explain myself properly. @45:00 Kasparov moves his rook over to column B to attack Carlson's pawn which is on square B6 protected by Carlson's white rook. In response then Carlson pushes the attacked pawn forward one square to B5, and I don't understand why he didn't rather use his bishop on C6 to take GK's pawn on A5 which was hanging there seemingly unprotected.
@3DCGdesign
@3DCGdesign Жыл бұрын
@@granthefato340 yes, thank you, I said 48:05 but I meant to say at 49:00 when Carlsen's pawn pm G7 is threatened by Kasparov's rook, Carlsen moves the king to G6 defending (but also blocking progress of) the pawn. I'm wondering why he didn't just move the pawn forward two squares to G5.

I would like someone to make (or link to) the case that Magnus definitely belongs above Karpov. Karpov assumed the title, beat Korchnoi twice, then defended his title against Kasparov. Then a decade later he turned in maybe the greatest tournament of all time at Linares 94. Is Magnus' nine years at the top really enough to be clear no. 2?
