The Inspiration behind this video:
Pratt has cultivated a dedicated following from his roles as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy and Owen Grady in the Jurassic World trilogy. After rising to prominence as the lovable goof Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation, Pratt has wholly reinvented his image as an action movie star with the two top-grossing trilogies. With roles in the animated Lego Movie and Super Mario Bros. Movie, Pratt has also found success as a voice actor.
However, Pratt's performance in The Garfield Movie is likely being anticipated with trepidation after The Super Mario Bros. Movie. His casting as the titular plumber was met with much controversy since the actor is not Italian, and there was concern his accent would be offensive. It turned out, however, that Pratt's Mario voice was nearly identical to his typical speaking voice. As revealed by The Garfield Movie trailer, Pratt's similarly lazy interpretation of the talking cat repeats the exact same problem as The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
