Here's the thing with youtube gear channels... Every video is a new piece of gear that the influencer makes sound incredible. Then you get that feeling: "This is the piece I'm missing!" Then you watch another video about a different piece of gear and the cycle repeats... I love gear as much as the next guy, but these gear channels can't be using everything they make videos about right?
Today, I want to pull back the curtain on the guitar gear that I ACTUALLY use to record, gig, tour, arrange, and practice with. This is the stuff that I reach for on a daily basis. The gear that I love to use, that gets me great results, and that inspires me to play. Cause the truth is, you don't need to have a giant gear collection to get great tone. You just need the right pieces for you, and a little creativity. Hahaha! I appreciate gear, I'm just not a big time collector. I just want a few pieces that I know really well and then I'm set... until the industry switches and then I have to play catch up to whatever thing we're all using now hahaha. But

@@JustinMuncy Well, if you insist! 😊 Bailey is on my heart. I have 2 Shelties that are both 12.5 years. Doing all I can to keep them healthy. Loving them every day. When you are ready a new puppy can sure be a new adventure. I lost my little Sheltie Champ about 12.5 years ago… my third one. So after a week of mourning I told my wife… let’s go get TWO Shelties! Yeah, that’s the ticket! So in a few years don’t be surprised if I tell you we have FOUR Shelties! 😂

Deep six is an OTA compressor.... Aka similiar to a dynacomp. I have heard the reference to 1176 a few times and i think that is a little misleading by walrus to claim.

I also have a Quad Cortex, as well as several analog effects. How do I incorporate both on a pedal board? Can they both be used together, keeping in mind that I want to use the 4 cable method? Liked and Subscribed, Thanks.

Thanks so much! I actually have a video on how I'm using the QC with an amp that'll go into more detail: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kMV2rdeSr7SaaYE.html Essentially, you're going to run your send on the QC to the input of your amp. Then run the send of the FX loop on your amp (if you don't have an fx loop then you'll need to use a load box like what I do) to the return on the QC. Hit your wet FX in there. Then you can either use another send on the QC or the output of of the QC to send the signal with FX back to the return of the FX loop on your amp. But like before, if you don't have an FX loop, then you would need to send your signal into a power amp, and then into a cab. In terms of getting from your board to your amp... if you're bringing your rig different places, you'll probably want to make a cable loom so you can just throw down 1 thing when you set up, as opposed to laying down 6+ long cables.
