I've encountered a Garogyle with a rather interesting goal. He seeks to get his bloodline actually recognized as a Clan in the Camarilla with an actual voice on the Inner Council. If this were to happen it would certainly help their lot in these Final Nights. I wish his sucess though I feel his endeaver will most likely meet with failure and Final Death. But perhaps he will surprise me, this stoic Gargoyle.

They can embrace now... From the wiki "Embraces Most Gargoyles are not Embraced, but are rather created by the Tremere using Kindred from other clans (Nosferatu, Gangrel and Tzimisce). However, the Gargoyles are still capable of siring Childer, and some free Gargoyles have begun to do so. The process of creation is particularly intense for Gargoyles, especially for those taken directly by the Tremere. The surge of competing strains of Vitae, combined with the magical energy inherent to the transformation, serves to wipe away the pre-existing memories and loyalties of a new Gargoyle, leaving a tabula rasa on which the Tremere can work. The process is a trifle gentler for Gargoyles embraced by other Gargoyles, who sometimes retain at least vague senses of their former lives, but even so most of their past just dissolves under the occult onslaught. As for what drives a Gargoyle to embrace a mortal, most times it's a case of simple obsession. Free Gargoyles in particular are proud and social, and show little restraint in creating new progeny. This new generation of Gargoyles shares less of the burden their sires bore; never having lived under the Tremere yoke, they don't fear or hate the Usurpers as their erders do. However, a thread of servility still runs through the bloodline, which they mush keep in check. Only a third of all Gargoyles can pass on the curse of Caine, and among the progeny they create, only half survive the change, while the other half die within the first weeks. Those who survive can breed true, just like their parents."

The Gargoyles had a sad past with being born into slavery, true. The Tremere were quite un-gentlemanly for treating their created slaves badly once Gargoyles showed signs of individuality, true. Although it was a time of war. BUT it is more important to point out that, if both sides put away their differences for whatever reason, the Tremere and the Gargoyles make an incredible team together!!!!!! Along with perhaps a "Hopper" creature seen in V-TM-R! Tremere and Gargoyles are worth roleplaying together in one group for this same reason!

Watching the KZfaq is in all honesty what got me back into a vampire the masquerade plus the music and The Succubus Club soundtrack as well it’s something I never lost interest in but never had anybody to play with me since I have become visually impaired and that is really heartbreaking

I'd like to see the Gargoyles earn their vengeance by diablerizing the Tremere Clan, fusing their souls to the very monsters they created in a form of poetic justice.

I always liked the Gargoyles. This whole aspect of liberation was appealing to me and they have a nice gothic feel about them. Guardians of stones, living in an abandoned ruin in the city...observing, always on the watch. They make great wise hermits in a game (ally and foe) and i often find myself preferring them over other isolated kindred like Gangrel, Malkavians etc. I really enjoy your narrating in these videos, always a pleasure :)

my personal opinion is that a gargoyle can survive in Camerilla society as a kind of hidden army , they are a forced to be reckoned with, and if they where to join to gather as a full clan, then the tremere could have a lot of trouble

Sometimes Gargoyles petition the Prince for the release of slave Gargoyles, but more often they just tear slave owners to pieces. With no community, Gargoyles are likely to Embrace and build their own. According to V20 the Gargoyles can embrace mortals.

I just have trouble on imagining ways for a Gargoyle to feed on mortals. They can't seduce them, they can't obfuscate to sneak up on one and I don't think they would keep a herd. Other than swooping down and plucking a mortal up to sky kicking and screaming, I really have a hard time imagining how they would be able to get enough blood to wake and use disciplines. Please enlighten me on how the Gargoyles find their nightly sustenance of vitae? Other than being supplied blood by a master that is.

I love these Gentlemen's guide to Vampire Clan videos! I imagine myself visiting an old friend of great knowledge in vampire legends and one with a certain taste for... blood. For indeed the Gentlemen is the greatest Vampire of Clan Tremere. To bad that their flight Discipline cannot be learned for any other vampire, not even caine. Visceratika on other hand can, but no gargoile would share it ever.It makes me wonder if its possible to diablerise them, or they diablerise other vampires.

This was the one shock I had with the Guide to the Camarilla. In my opinion, Gargoyles should've gone Anarch or Sabbat after the Tremere Antitribu were destroyed. Gargoyles wouldn't've joined the Camarilla because of Clan Trermere. It would be the Salubri joining the Camarilla for protection. It didn't make sense to me, despite the reasons given.

The way you tell the tales of the vampire clans is just enthralling. I'm always looking forward to hearing more about a new clan. Now if only my teachers were as interesting! I do have to wonder, though, what is the gentleman's place in all this? Are you of one of the clans? Are you a trusted human who acts as a living history book?

Where exactly does it say the bloodbond is weaker in the final nights? Where does it say they are creating new garogyles? And this story of them hunting down Anarch Trmere is not true according to Clanbook Tremere revised. In fact it seems to say a Anarch Tremere is left alone as long as they are not a infernalist or giving up secrets of the blood.

Gargoyles are great, but it's strange that they're Vampires. If I ran another V:tM game I'd have the Gargoyles in there, but they'd be a OWoD version of Prometheans or something. PS- Looking Pimptaculent in the purple shirt and tie. It's your color for sure.

From V20 we could assume that gargoyles can embrace, but I'm not sure how often they do so and it's not clearly stated anyway.

It's odd but even though I play as a tremere when larping I feel really bad for the gargoyles. It's one of the reasons why I always play independent when I play as tremere.

Gargoyles do not inflict aggravated damage with any claws. Some of your information is incorrect. They do not have wolf claws like the Gangrel.

Gargoyles claws do NOT inflict aggravated damage. Also in the By Night Studios LARP setting, the Tremere Clan was forced to give up all the Gargoyles they had as a stipulation for joining the Camarilla. They were also supposed to never create any more at all.

I find the entire concept of the Masquerade to be absurd. Vampires are apex hunters. An apex hunter needs a certain number of prey animals to survive. A lot of prey animals. That those prey animals would remain ignorant of their predator for thousands of years is absurd. Especially when you think about the sheer number of vampires in the WoD setting. You can't swing a flea-bitten werewolf without hitting one. But the GG has a wonderful voice.

Gargoyles can indeed embrace the bloodline has perhaps mutated in recent final nights. This is a good sign for the former slaves. But why they would join the Camarilla instead of perhaps join the Anarchs, whose purpose is supposedly freedom might be a better choice, if the Gargoyle can find an Anarch who is truely commited to the cause instead of these pathetic losers who just join the Anarchs as as sort of Vampire version of the occupy movement.

I disagree with almost everything in this video. Though your knowledge is extensive, your understanding of gargoyles is very limiting. You claim many things in this video as fact even though they are found nowhere in the subject material. Most Gargoyles are within the Camarilla and serve independent from the Tremere.
