Built on the old American Frontier, this is the story of Ancho.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO VISIT ANCHO! The owners have expressed their problems with vandals, looters, and trespassers while we were filming this. This is not an invitation to visit the town, let this documentary be the only source you need for Ancho.

I used to Bow hunt near Ancho. One day we came by and the owner to the museum was out. He let us in and we spent hours looking through it. So much history. We bought a few history books and left. It is now closed to anyone as the owners are in bad health.

We used to prospect at the GPAA claim back in the 90s. The guy who lived there would vist with us. He must have been lonely.

The Town of Pinos Wells near Duran and Corona is also very interesting..... many small towns in New Mexico have become ghost towns, such a beautiful place indeed. The Whole Planet is pretty breathtaking

The old Railroad Depot was the museum in later years. In the 1940s The Atomic bomb test was set off. People from around around the area saw the light from the bomb.

GPAA used to, or still has, a claim at Ancho. We used to go there quite often bback in the 90s. The old guy that lived there was really cool. Took a grand total of 114 grams bbetween the 3 of us.

Next time, about Neuer, because her stories are very interesting. There was an old man with an old lady and they lived in their house and then they disappeared in a jiffy.

The owner grew up there? Not many people get to end up owning their own home ghost town.

The state of NM may eventually be able to preserve and make this a historic site, but the owners will probably have to die off first. It’s just a matter of time. Can’t wait until we can all see it! 👍👍👍

Most of the history on this video is totally wrong and misrepresented. I would appreciate it if people would learn the history before they make these worthless videos owner. I am the owner of the railroad depot and the property there.

All of the content on this channel is thoroughly researched and the sources are placed at the end. I don't appreciate your baseless and false comment, but I do appreciate the engagement which helps with the algorithym. So thank you, now more people will see this.
