This is one of the funniest segments of the Ghoul's show that I've ever seen. The best part is that The Ghoul just ad libs through the piece, and shows why so many people are still big fans even though most of them haven't seen him on tv in years. Another neat thing is that Dave Ivey shows up at the beginning of the segment. Also, I was surprised to see that the P.O. Box to send in your home movies is in Clawson, Michigan. Either they shot the show in Clawson (it kind of looks like they're in someone's basement), or maybe The Ghoul was living there...

@TheRamsesII Actually, The Ghoul started in Cleveland - that's what the whole "Parma/Amrap" schtick is about...Parma is the Polish suburb of Cleveland. He moved from Cleveland to Detroit in the early 70's, about the same time I did. I believe his first gig in Detroit was hosting an afternoon Three Stooges show.

The Ghoul is from Cleveland. The Ghoul show first started out in Cleveland. He would say Parma to say hi to his folks, who then lived in Parma, Ohio. Ron came up to Detroit area, lived in Waterford. When he was first on Channel 20 he taped the show in Walled Lake at Decker and 14 Mile Road, and their antenna was in Southfield, and the po box in West land. The show was taped at a few other places like Video Lab, on Rochester Rd, now Glida's Place, in Royal Oak. Dave Ivey is my husband.

@dkspookshow I got hooked on The Ghoul when, on his first show in Detroit, he made mashed potatoes by stomping them with his bare feet and then feeding it to a crew member. That was pretty intense stuff for a ten year old and that night he became a hero and role model.

BTW, what happened to Wolfman Mac, who had a show broadcasting from a haunted house park in Pontiac, MI from 2008--2010 on Channel 20?
