probably not KN has been around forever great filters.

I have used K&N and they have been great. The main issue i see people commenting is the oil messes up with the MAF sensor.

I'm gona go with the kn filter . I can see right through the filter in this video. Makes me wonder what exactly it can filter being able to see right through it.
