The God's Eye & isle Of Faces - Game Of Thrones / House Of The Dragon History And Lore

The Gods Eye, the largest lake of the Seven Kingdoms, is located south of the Trident and west of the kings road in the southern Riverlands. At its centre is the isle of faces home of the last weir wood trees in the south. The area plays such a huge part in the main story and is the backdrop to many key events. Maybe the biggest question of the isle is why did Harren build harrenhal on the banks of the god's eye. The fact that so many key battles in the history of Westeros, from the faith uprising to the dance of the dragon's tool place in and around Harrenhal speaks to its importance.
The Riverlands is the center of Westeros and its heart. If the land is its heart then the river trident and its three huge branches are the veins. It brings life to the realm as well as creates a fast transport system. Thus many historical events have happened along its banks. In this video, we take a look at both the geography and history of this great river. We will also take a look at some of the great castes that sit on its banks, Riverrun and the Twins, and the houses such as the Tullys and Freys.

Something is telling me that after dragon fight between Aemond One-Eye and Daemon, the blood of the fallen dragons Vhagar and Caraxes, were like fuels to the Weirwood net and accidently woke the Others from their sleep.

It's a interesting idea and kinda fits. I really do hope we see more of the Isle of Faces in the book. would be odd for george to set up a location like that and not use it

@@WorldOfWesteros I wouldn't even come up with that idea until I read Fire & Blood and realized that the entire Targaryen conflict is a set-up for the Second Long Night, and there countless of youtubers that mention the Isle of Faces as a key location for the creation of the Other and final battles. That is how added up all those pieces together in one big theory while dismissing the oversimplified ones that are confusing the overall story.

@@TheINSANATY Wait so, how does Fire and Blood showcase the Targaryen conflict as a set-up for the next Long Night? Perhaps the Others sense that all this dragonblood must mean that the only magical creatures that could hinder them are slowly dying off? I mean, a bit of a stretch tbh, I doubt that the death of only 2 Dragons would have them face that conclusion Now, if the very fact that there are even any Dragons in Westeros in the first place is what tips them off, that could be interesting as well. The idea that now, Dragons have theoretically spread from Valyria in Essos and are now in Westeros. And that would tell the Others "Hey, the Lands of Neverending Summer are encroaching upon the Lands of Always Winter" (or whatever it was called on Valyria) and that is a threat to ice-magic that they've gotta deal with? I dunno, we'll see I suppose 👀

I think that The Riverlands are probably the largest source of raw magical power in the Seven Kingdoms. It's no coincidence that the Isle of Faces is in the Riverlands. And it's certainly no coincidence that the Tourney was at Harrenhal. Many of the River Lords can trace their lineages back to ancient kings. A lot of common folk can as well. Whenever war hits Westeros, it's the Riverlands that bleeds out into the waters of the Trident. If the Kingsblood truly does hold magical power, how much power would there be after generations of bloodshed?

That’s an interesting take on the idea of bleeding into the trident. It really makes sense and fits if you believe there is power in blood

@@WorldOfWesteros I'm not sure if I do or not. If there was power in the King's Blood, it raises so many more questions. My Riverlands theory actually hinges on the Jojen Paste theory. If that one is proven false than I have to rethink the Riverlands Theory.

I will be very soon I just need to fix a few errors, like missing places, then I need to figure out the file size situation. The jpeg is 4gb which causes issues. But watch this space because I’ll make a video when I’ve sorted it

1:37 Hey just a heads up, there's a typo on your map. Acorn Hall is misspelled "Acron Hall" in the video.

In two years you're the first person to notice a spelling mistake. I didn't know about that one. There are actually a couple of others. Thanks for letting me know, I'm remastering the map, so I will make note of this

Is it me or do big events happen here. I mean the children of the forest pack. Haren death aemond and deamon duel are these event linked up or connected somehow maybe..
