You will notice something that is absolutely FANTASTIC in Ghost of Tsushima, and that is the NPC's match YOUR rate of speed. None of that too fast for a walk and too slow for a run style of movement.

If you come accross a dead body and bow before them, Jin will say something to honor the dead. Executing an enemy that is crawling on the ground will give you resolve

I know you said that you're a few hours in... but there is an armor that you get in the second area (after a main quest) that increases your stand off streak. There is a trophy for getting a successful standoff streak of 5, and the ONLY way you can do it is if your standoff skill is at max and you're wearing that armor. Saying which armor and where and how you get it would destroy story, so beyond letting you know it exists and how to get the trophy... mum's the word.

You might want to show him doing a haiku that strikes you as powerful, I don't know if you want to show him taking a bath (you see his bum), or doing bamboo strikes, but you should show major shrines (they're parkour challenges) and maybe the foxes (they're cute!) Everything else, like riding from point A to B you should probably skip lest something impressive happens in between. The main beef of the story is the silver, gold and platinum quests. Everything else is filler.
