I paused the video and looked at it frame by frame. It's nonsense. We have all of these MK characters with supernatural abilities, Reiko's is to dislodge the bones on his hip, kinda mundane but he's gonna get his mileage out of it, you can bet on that.

I tend to think he learned the style of chaos. Take Havik for example, bends his kneecaps backward to shoot blasts, or lethally snaps his neck to gain health. Or Dairou, who smacks his back "reverse rising dracula" style!... without any damage. And Shujiko learning chao style from Havik himself.

@@jaidora that ending was hilarious. Even as an 8 year old kid, I was thinking "there has to be something missing.." No words. No showing where the portal ends up. Nothing lol.

I still think MK 4 is cannon in certain places. I think it would be an appropriate time to have shujinko show up as an old man, Have reiko become the new ruler of outworld, and even have reptile get fucked over the way he did at the end They can go ahead and twist together certain parts of the plot, as long as the right characters appear for the right fan service

The new movie MIGHT help with that. Or atleast some of us hope it will.

Wanted to make another and I was passively playing Reiko on the side anyway. Thought he was a nice little break from the GIANT episodes but still an interesting character all the same.

All I'll say that in MK4 Tanya wa s top tier along with Reptile and Fujin, and Shinnok was considered low tier but he's very similar to Chameleon in MK Trilogy

I loved Nightwolf in MK9 :D, I would also love to see what he was like in Armageddon and Deception

@@SilverEye_7 Shinnok is honestly bottom tier to be honest, he's like Shang Tsung but worse and that's saying something since Shang Tsung wasn't good either. But both are dependent on morphs so there's that.

@@ShiftyGuy777 I guess it was fair that a character that had access to everyone's move for that morph period of time, they would be underpowered in their universal state. I personally think that was a good balance take.

I'm hoping Havik and Reiko get into MK11 as DLC or maybe MK12 (Whenever that comes). The MKX comic gave me hope because both played pretty large rolls in that, but I don't know.

Because they are jokes they are all generic and none of them have interesting move sets or play styles so they need total revamping, at that point why not just create a new character entirely?

I recall Reiko's teleport combos being different due to the screen size right? Console versions are more zoomed out where as Arcade is a lot more zoomed in. I always managed to get his max damage flip kick combos way easier on arcade because of that. Especially if you hit it at max range. In most competitive MK4 I've ever watched, I don't tend to see that max damage combo. It really never seemed like the chances of instant kick into flip kick was something you'd hit all that often and surely you NEED max damage from that specific opener to end in the right move at the right time? There's all kinds of max damage breakers but I so rarely see them in a real match. You got any links I can follow of it being used in a competitive setting? I have genuinely never seen anybody say he's decent in MKA lol. He's one of the characters I learned in the game in 2021 and every MKA head I've spoken to has generally been in common agreement he's a bottom 5 character. I have no idea what's meant to be decent about a character with such limited utility besides safe S3.

@@PNDKM You don't need to do that specific starter, you just need to hit max damage with Spiked Club LP. Spiked Club is crazy if they have it out, but drawing the weapon is another story. I'm not sure about the screen size difference, but the teleport on console versions does not track the opponent near the corner, but in the arcade it does. This means in console version you generally need to do cross under jump kick teleports during combos to keep the opponent midscreen. It's really nasty to play Reiko on console because you need to be really aware of positioning and side step angles for teleport combos. Yeah Im not sure why some people like Check think Reiko is OK, because I have never seen people rate him so high back then.

Who happens to have also been only playable in two games. I think he may have been banned in Armageddon for being a big body if memory serves but wow I don't remember well.

@@sophiegrey9576 nope as far I can tell Shao Kahn was mid or low tier in Armageddon, he's not a big like Blaze, Onaga and Moloch and he's not like Goro and Kintaro when they get knockback resistance. Shao Kahn was a unsafe and damage character with slow attacks, but he and Motaro are the only bosses who can be grabbed and juggle like a normal character. If you want big damage then you pick someone like Movado, Kano and Hsu Hao, but Kano is still average damage. Blaze, Onaga and Moloch are the only banned tier characters. But his history goes like this. MKT: god tier MKD: low MKA: I think he's low MK11: bottom
