Far too much Katy Perry stuff. Couldn't even sing one of her songs. Not enough Michael Jackson stuff considering he won 8 grammys in 1984. The mural at the end was amazing.

I saw BB King , where I worked, in a small dance place in the late 70s. What a kind man.. My boss took me behind the curtains and there he was sitting there on a chair waiting to go on. My boss introduced me and we shook hands. He signed an autograph for me with beautiful handwriting addressed to me. Then he dug down in his pocket and brought a guitar pick out and gave it to me. The pick had his name on it. I cherish that memory to this day. So glad he was finally appreciated in a big way... Thank you for the fun tour. It's great to go on vacation to LA and not leave the comfort of your bed..;)

They have a lot more Michael Jackson stuff in Vegas at his show One if you haven't seen it I highly recommend seeing it. So good. They have his shoes and his one of his white gloves. I have pictures.

I grew up and came of age in the '70's, and I never heard of X, but the display was neat. I mostly enjoyed Katy Perry's costumes. I didn't realize how extensive her costuming was.

Hummingbird is my all time favorite BB King song. I once won a music trivia contest and the prize was tickets to see BB King with openers Tower of Power and Robert Cray at an outdoor venue in Charleston, SC. What an awesome show! Robert Cray was so smoooooooooooth. And of course BB had the audience wrapped around his pinky.

there are many of those gloves. the original was never seen again. (or I haven't seen it) Swarvarski did a whole line of interpretations. which MJ did claim one was the original. but it wasn't. I had to recreate it for a contest I did on Dancing on Air. not long after Motown 25.

Since you asked, Saw X twice in Portland. Right up there with one of the best bands ever. Lots of the best bands most people have never heard of Like King's X. Just happened to be listening to X last night. I had to google it, but Billy Zoom seems to be alive after a major health issue. The Doors and X may be the best bands that came from LA. Hint, there is a connection. Great video. Give Jah a pat.

Here’s my band’s funny dobro story: we played a lot of Southern Rock, so we thought it was cool when we found out our bass player’s older brother actually had vintage 70’s transcriptions for Lynyrd Skynyrd songs purchased from a music store. Well, they must have given that job to some dork in a cubicle with zero soul because in the lyrics for “Ballad of Curtis Lowe”, it said he ‘used to own an old dodo!’ And somehow he could ‘tune up’ his dodo too. Hahaha!
