We bought our permits to hike to these incredible waterfalls in the Arizona desert in January of 2020 and were so excited to finally get to use them in September of 2023. The Havasupai Tribe's reservation is located in the bottom of the Grand Canyon and is considered the most remote community in the contiguous United States.
3 nights camping in the desert surrounded by gorgeous hikes, crisp blue water and friends was a dream come true. Even though I had a harder time with the hike than Justin did, I'm really proud of how well we did on our second hike of this length. #havasupai #hikingadventures

@@justinblacktravelsthank you! Just got home last night and WOW!!! Hard to put into words what we experienced, but I hiked out to the Confluence with a few awesome strangers to cap off my 40's with a bang and MAN, it was so tough, but SOOOO WORTH IT!!!! My fiancee and I had the most magical time at 50-Foot Falls on my actual birthday, but the entire experience was just so breathtaking!!! I'm gonna give you a follow on ig because I'm chasing the dreams you're living!! Cheers!!

That hike and camping experience was wonderful! We did it back in 2004. Me, husband, and our 9year old daughter. I was worried about her but she out did me on that 8 miles hike down. I was dragging (experienced hiker) my knee’s suddenly hated me at 48. While our daughter decked out in her “pink” gear galloping up and back waiting for me to catch’s up. We setup camp hit the falls, made dinner, and fell into the sleeping bags. Next day we rafted the Colorado had lunch hiked the falls hit the sleeping bag and took the HELICOPTER out the next morning. You hang your food because of the Res dogs!

I'm so proud of you for getting through the hike at the end! Despite injuries, soreness and pain, you keep on going no matter what and it inspires me to plan my next hike! I'm a slow hiker as well, so it's encouraging to see you reach the top! Thanks for sharing the beauty of Havasupai with us! It's absolutely gorgeous and even though it rained, it made the video even more beautiful!!!

First. Thank you for respecting the "no photography in the village" rule. Second. Thank you for the nostalgia. My wife and I hiked in four years ago, when I was 58. It. Was. Wonderful. Watching your video brought me back. I might even get up on February 1st, butt early, to try for reservations again.

which souvenirs you get after watching travel videos ? I take away the music. In this video its my fav music already but sometimes I discover really good rare songs which are not internet as well. Great in depth video with no BS and just straight forward. I love the fact that weather did not worked for you. I would love to be walking in rain then the sun. great keep going and enjoy exploring.

Wow! I'm from AZ and seeing Supai falls is on my bucket list! BUT, I'm 61 so I'll have to do the helicopter in and out route 😂Thanks SO much for sharing both your experiences in our great state 48 at Hasu Falls! You know Beyonce' had the place closed down for nearly a month so she could shoot one of her videos there! She brought her entire entourage and singers! She did a video standing in the falls and it was AMAZING! Again, thanks for sharing! SO, SO beautiful!

We’ve been hiking together for over a decade and this is the first time we got this separated, mainly because we had the walkie talkies. I had no idea I was going to be such a baby hiking alone. We know better now 😅

We decided to try something new (me going ahead while check-in with the walkies) and learned it didn't work. I felt terrible once I realized how she was feeling...by then I was at the top. I won't be doing it again!

Loved this video! We’re headed in October & are pumped!! Any tips on ideal campground ⛺️ locations? We won’t be the fastest hikers to camp but we’ll leave early (or at least that’s the plan!).

We loved the spots by the river right above Mooney Falls. Your best bet is to scope out a couple of spots the day you arrive and just ask what day they are leaving. It will probably require an early morning to claim the spot before someone else, its worth it!!

We loved being really deep into the camp site. There’s great riverside spots that feel more secluded. It’s a longer walk but we preferred it.
