In this 1934 cartoon, a mad scientist injects Scrappy and Oopy with a perpetual youth serum. We find our heroes having arrived in the future (1990!) and they rescue a little girl (who looks like a modified version of Margie) from a mad ogre. With music by Joe De Nat, animation by Art Davis, and story by Sid Marcus, this cartoon was produced by Charles Mintz and originally released theatrically by Columbia Pictures. Sid and Art were considered to be this cartoon's co-directors, though many of Scrappy's cartoons did not carry a director's credit. This is a TV syndication print.

30s style Mad Scientist toon morphing into a 30s style futuristic vision. I really love those mini propellerized hats and beanies of a future we may be closing in on as drone tech continues its exponential development. Many people have noted the resemblance of Astro Boy to Scrappy and this toon is perhaps as close as it gets with Scrappy zooming through the air in his propeller beanie. In my opinion Scrappy's clean impeccable design a literally was the design model for Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy. Anyway a fine, interesting, toon, but UGH!, those anthropomorphic long john's at 6:22 were a bit too much.

@@TheObscureMediaArchive Yeah, it is too late to create a TIME PARADOX like every Metal Gear Solid series can. But hey, Looks like Inspector Gadget's Gadget Copter is trending around like its' TV show popularity in the 1980s.
