South Sudan is home to a magnificent array of wonderful wildlife, including giant yet elegant birds, stately elephants, majestic giraffes and now, the largest land mammal migration on earth. This spectacular phenomenon, known as the great Nile migration, was revealed during the first comprehensive aerial survey of wildlife in the country.

Don't you think people in South Sudan already knew that this migration occurred already?

Oh no, they had to wait for it to be "discovered".

Credit to the South Sudanese for not destroying their landscape and environment. However, South Sudanese should be in charge of their affairs.

I thought this was well known. I saw those migrations on NatGeo back in the early 2010s.

The antelpe migration has always been there. I saw it with my own eyes when I 6 between Pochalla and Boma.

Like always ‘we’ discovered this and not the indigenous people who’ve probably witnessed this for millennia.

When you say "discovered" it sounds disrespectful to the locals who have been there for millennia and therefore understands everything about their terrain...America was never discovered because there were people in America

This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of, if radiation is harmful to humans, how can it be completely safe for the Rhinos? How many generations of Rhinos have they studied to know the long-term effect of the radiation?

They know damn well most poachers use snares. They're not sitting there with a gun and picking out certain rhinos to kill for their horn. Some do that, but the vast majority set a bunch of traps and leave..so they aren't caught poaching. This is nothing more than a nuclear radiation experiment on live wild animals. The cover up excuse for it is sad and disappointing.
