( thank god i was able to still have some fun with current mechanics) to be fair, it did need a nerf, and it was way overdue, however, to me it seems like Fdev always seems to nerf the big payout related mechanics. (missions, mining, now the oreo's)) side note: i did get to buy my FC and have a low 13B in reserves, and another 10B of bonds (not doubeled yet by pp faction) someone in the discord said: once you get past 10B there is no real reason to do anything credit gain related as you are pretty much set for a long time, and to be fair, he is right. thanks for the info mechan. glory to mankind! o7

These are welcome changes... never before, in the history of humanity, duck shooting has been so profitable, to the point of being ridiculous, especially if we compare it to the negligible profits in much more difficult activities that require real skill. And as for those who are going to complain about the nerf, I only have one thing to say: when the FCs were released, it took me months to be able to save up enough credits to buy mine. Currently, I know players who start playing and, after 3 or 4 days, they have already managed to accumulate credits for the FC with all the services installed, as well as enough ships to fill it! In this game, the journey is more important than the destination... enjoy the journey. o7 all

The only thing worse than a significant imbalance in a game (making one singular thing completely overpowered, eg. in terms of income, over everything else) is the developers fixing that imbalance. Suddenly the people who were happy to exploit that imbalance will not be very happy anymore.

Think about seal clubbing Orthruses during a Titan meltdown: the next thing they could have done was a pop up window asking "type the amout of credits you want, and hit Enter to get them". Long overdue. Paying more than a Medusa was borderline offensive.

They ruined the mining operations by nerfing the metals and cristas prices, now they want to ruin AX combat.

Credits were a non-issue before Orthuses, and will be a non-issue after, with Exobio, Wing mining missions, or just regular surface port AX CZs. Newbies with a bit of planning now can get their FC in like 1-2 weeks, instead of a couple of days, whatever. War mechanics changes - ngl I don't really followed them anyways, it was like - is it Titan week or not? If yes, go Pineapple Punching, if not, go play the game, but Sampling was a chore so I guess it is a good thing, that AX passenger rescue and combat now actually has impact on progression ... So yeah, pretty understandable changes. o7

Thank the Braben that the tissue sample domination has ended. It never made sense and really ruined the struggle in the progress of the war. I'm not sure why it took sooooo long for the rebalance. The damage has been done.

This wouldn't be Elite if people didn't moan about a nerf. But seriously Oreos were easy targets, they had it coming. It got to the point I was doing solo runs at spire sites in a Krait with AX missiles and no HUD, just to keep it interesting.

taking into account that doing AXI content is a coop thing with the AXI Community and that an Oreo can die from 1 minute max to 10 seconds, 15 milions is still a lot First time I went there with my Cutter I got 2 BILION in less than 1 and a half hour. HOLY CRAP that was huge... I'm not having any more Credit issues anymore.

Yeah long overdue for sure, but in the meantime the people who were able to get rich with this are laughing and swimming in their money. I'm a bit fought (or probably just jelous lol) Anyway, it's always been like that for every money exploitation method, I know (I'll never been to take advantage of any really, for rl reasons, but oh well) Spend your money wisely and maybe buy me a cup of Harma Rum ffs :P

I'm kinda looking forward to more gameplay having a better impact on bringing them down... I view scout sampling grind and orthrus farming (particularly at spires) to be way over the top in terms of effect/payouts. I think these changes look to even it out a fair bit so that more gameplay has more effect. Seems reasonable. Proof will be in the pudding of course.

How many billion does one need to buy a fleet carrier, all the modules, and not worry about the maintenance for a few years? I started spire siting recently and doubled my money to about 4b, but not sure what my target is. I think even at 15m the spire site will still be the money maker. In other news - I visited haddad last night (AU time) and got over 4m in my first run. Dunno if it was a bug cos normally it's only around 1.5m at this stage. 2nd run was around 1.5m but didn't flash up on my hud - but the transaction panel showed an increase

This is such a great thing. The harder goids now return to their original values before they were unnecessarily nerfed and Oreos go down. Honestly they should be worth less than Clops given how easy they are to kill.

Frontier's ears have and remain selective. Not interested in their thargoid partial design. Much more could be done with the story. Nerf it to zero, have it give a free frigate to everyone. Still not interested.
