The most beautiful anthem of them all. I am referring to its music. No doubt a piece of art. I am West European and had the pleasure of learning word by word how to sing it. Not easy but I am so proud. Russia has a History made of good and bad like any other nation. I don't agree with the Russian politics but music is a world apart. It's not the music of the anthem's fault. I love national anthems and my top three are by this order: 1. Russia 2. United States 3. Italy

@@fredrickroll06 Oh it is! And it is in my language: Portuguese ☺️ It has loooong lyrics and the music reminds a military march with its rhythm strongly marked. Anyway it is perhaps in less than 10th place for me. More or less the same of the national anthem of my country. Not in the first five but between five and ten. There's a funny fact about anthems: our neighbour nation - Spain - has an anthem that has no lyrics. Only music. I don't know if there are more around the world with no words to join the music 😄

I do wonder what would have happened if Russia, Western Europe and the United States somehow became an alliance, or dropped their squabbles after WWII. Would there be no cold war? Would there be a peaceful existence with both Communist and Capitalist cultures? Would it end horribly? What would be the best or worst case scenario if Russia stayed as an ally (under Stalin at the time)? Would Stalin not become a despot? Same question with the Chinese if they formed an alliance as China helped in the war on the Pacific side?
