It's so ironic that missionaries have always come to Native communities trying to teach about God when people around the world have known the Creator since time immemorial. We have so much to learn from each other if we are open to receiving instead of attempting to force our beliefs on to others.

And the logic is truly backwards. Instead of going to others to teach they should instead go to learn. True teacher do not have to find students. The divine will send the students to the teacher, if the teacher is true.

It's nice to hear this take instead of those who preach there is only 1 God and worshiping 1 man like an idol is the only way, rather than following his example. If there is only 1 God, that would mean it is not all good. If not, then there are at least 2 or more forces at work. IF there is a higher power, or powers, monotheists don't seem to have it correct. Facts don't care about anyone's feelings or faith. The math has been done. If this "modern day" concept of this Zeus like Abrahamic "God" as defined by Monotheism is correct; with a "God" up there being "ALL POWERFUL," "ALL KNOWING," And "ALL GOOD." Why does any evil, destruction, imperfection, or chaos exist? - Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is Not Omnipotent. - Is he able, but not willing? Then he is Malevolent. - Is he both able and willing? Then why is there evil? - Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? -- Epicurus Either way no matter how you slice it the definition of "God" as given to us by monotheists is incorrect. For there to be evil/chaos in the first place this means if there is a God type energy it is either not all good, or not all powerful. The question still remains, which is it? ☯

@@silvercloud1641 One thought is we are here to choose life or death for our soul. We can only choose one or the other in as much as we realize which is which. Each is influenced by experience but not the sum of it. There is another part that offers the possibility of questioning our experience as being the definition of right and wrong. I am not Christian trinitarian but I am monotheist and actually so is Mr. Brown as he has described his spiritual belief in one Father. That is what I believe too. I believe we are all from the same Father. I believe that Father created all forces of nature that have been personified as gods. I think Mr. Brown's belief in the Holy People parallels "let us make man in our image." There is so much mystery. I think his ancestors were trying to leave us a testimony of their experience as they depicted on the rocks. It is valid just as their oral history is.

sounds familiar doesnt it ... almost every religion has this theme ... except satanism ... it has the opposite ... . if one also puts their mind to it lucifer (prometheus; the light bringer) was tasked to make man worthy of his gift of choice ... he found he couldnt succeed in his task if he stayed joined with the one ... because one cant make a choice if one doesnt know the differences .... so in a broad sense the bad ones are doing the good work by letting us know what the opposite of each choice is .. once we lean this and put this knowledge into practice then we will be wise and make god choices instead of bad ones

All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." ~ John 1:1-5 "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." ~ Romans 10:9-10 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” ~ Romans 10:13 "In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory." ~ Ephesians 1:13-14 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." ~ Ephesians 2:8-9 "He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit." ~ Titus 3:5 "And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross." ~ Colossians 2:13-14 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” ~ Galatians 2:20-21 "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures." ~ 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." ~ John 3:16-18 "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” ~ John 10:28-30 Jesus said to him, "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." ~ John 14:6 "Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon." ~ Isaiah 55:6-7

I'm glad someone mentioned it. It's obvious, yet no one mentions it at all? Anywhere? How can this be. In Navajo, he was a holy man, got angry when he didn't get his way, and set the second world ablaze. In Christianity, he's an angel who wants to corrupt heaven, causing the war in heaven and cast out. Too coincidental.

They are probably confusing a nomadic group of european/nordic early humans that came over to the continental America through the ice land bridge before it melted after the ice age. I have no doubt some proto red haired Viking warrior would appear like a "giant". As to the six finger thing, not sure but probably just simple misunderstanding or to make the "giants" appear more unnatural than they already were.

I am an avid follower of your channel and this is such a timely message. Not only is there one Creator, Great Spirit or God, but you point out something most people miss. If you react to evil in a spirit of vengeance, you feed that evil and grow it. You do not rectify an evil by wishing or bestowing evil on the perpetrator. My mom always said we should pray an evil person out of our lives and into a place where they no longer feel the need to be evil, and can become whole again. Thomas Szasz told in a talk, "sometimes the lesser of 2 evils is your best and only choice; but let us never forget that the lesser of 2 evils is still, in fact, evil."

Life is God, God is life,... The aztec and mayan used one word for life the same word for God,... maybe this is where duality was born! Where God becomes two things instead of all one!
@MeSomebody-oz3lc
@MeSomebody-oz3lc Ай бұрын
I also believe that the Aztec concept of Ometeotl was correct. One Deity above the rest, existing in duality: male and female. Perhaps Tonantzin (Our Sacred Mother) was not a separate entity, but rather the female half or female characteristics of Ometeotl. Just as even Genesis says that He made them in His image: male and female. Some also say that duality is shown in that Jesus is fully God and fully man. There are two distinct covenants, neither one being complete without the other. Christians focus on the Trinity but forget about the Duality.

The concept of "evil" IMO can be reduced to the failure to recognize and observe limits and boundaries. It is the desire for excess power, control over others and nature, wealth and ownership, that drives people to act in ways that we would call evil across most cultures. At the larger scale, let us just say that some cultures are more driven by these impulses than others.

Thank you for sharing and letting others understand. We believe in one Creator. I also understand your reasons for not attending or being in agreement with certain ceremonies. In my belief, it is the Holy Spirit of God that guides you through life, if you accept Him, and because of His presence, you will not accept certain worldly things or practices. My respect to you.

Thank you for this lesson. I find that lately I'm running out of patience with the way things are in the world. I find injustices angering me and I feel a boiling up of words that I don't normally have. Those words have force, heat and raging anger in them. This is a good reminder to release these things to my higher spirit.

Greetings from the East☀️ Thank you for sharing, it is helping me understand my own Pathway in my Heart, to Peace. The subject you speak of is very real and I battle it daily in my experience here. I find strength in your Lesson, I needed to hear this today to continue on and be in the Light. To hold Love in my Heart. It get’s difficult to understand what I should do. I feel a very strong sense to express my concerns about the Direction the American Way of Life is leading people to. I am deeply concerned that we are headed towards a War and sometimes feel desperate to stop it. My Heart hears your Wisdom. Light will always outshine any Darkness. Thank you for your Guidance and Strength.

In a nut shell he says; "There is a one true God that seems identical to JESUS; but I don't see eye to eye with His Apostles but close enough aye?" No. This man is not an ordained authority in the actual Church of that Father God; nor is he presenting the whole Truth Who GOD IS. Now; this man could very well become authenticly Christian and perhaps even be ordained into the Priesthood in this life. But atm; he still hasn't found his way to the Way.

AMEN, sister! GOD Bless you and your loved ones in JESUS' Mighty Name! "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

I am a Catholic and believe all the teachings which I believe the teachings are correct. The hierarchy however are corrupt. In terms of spiritual teachings I think that is accurate. Conduct of individuals will fail. So the Mass, Holy Rosary, prayers etc teachings such as immaculate conception, true presence of Christ in the Eucharist. All sound. But the way it run and conducted with scandal after scandal, this shouldn’t happen and I detach myself from the corruption and follow the teachings. In fact I believe more Catholics while remaining faithful need to say this isn’t good enough and remove the weeds of corruption. That’s me anyway.

@@SOUNDWAVEMAN Read about Constantine and how he Christianized his Pagan empire. Catholicism is Paganism mingled with Christianity, and is not Biblical at all. The Scriptures warn us about these false prophets over and over again. Just look up "Vatican Hall" and look at its images. That should tell you right there who Catholics are really serving/worshipping, and it's definitely not JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth. "And do not call anyone on earth your father; for only One is your Father, He who is in heaven." ~ Matthew 23:9 “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.” ~ Luke 20:46-47 “When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again." ~ Matthew 6:7 "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer." ~ 1 Timothy 4:1-5 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them." ~ Matthew 7:15-20 "And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds." ~ 2 Corinthians 11:12-15

@@WWJD799 All this scripture was made into the Bible by The Catholic Church. And I say this. If you celebrate Easter at the same time as we Catholics same goes for Christmas. If Christmas is celebrated on 25th of December then every Christian is guilty of adopting Paganism. The reality is different the universal church absorbed paganism by replacing important gentile days with Christian celebration’s because they knew this would radically reduce Paganism and it practically stamped out Paganism at the time.

As a Muslim this was really fascinating to listen to and recognizing parallels between both religions. The narration of the evil one made me think of the story of Iblis in Islam and how he disobeyed God because he didn't prostrate before God's new creation (us humans) and vowed to lead people astray until the day of judgement. The Great Spirit made me think of how we see God (Allah) as merciful, bountiful, and all-forgiving. I learned a lot from this video.

This wonderful teaching(s) is so good! It's amazing that The Spiritual teaching(s) of the Navajo People is very similar to the Teachings of other First Peoples of America and similar to spiritual Teachings of Middle Eastern religions. The Spiritual teachings of the Cherokee and the Choctaw are much like the wisdom/ teachings you have shared with us. Blessings to you sir, and thank you!! My mother passed on in 2014, and the day after we buried her, my wife and I were getting into my car when a large orange and black Monarch Butterfly flew into the car and landed on my chest. It sat there for at least a minute before it fluttered away. I'll always believe it was a sign from her that she was ok. I soon purchased a silver medallion with a turquoise butterfly made by and sold by a Navajo lady , and it's one of my most cherished possessions. It has so much meaning to it. Thanks again!!
