Hey NL, apparently you can hold R for super instead of clicking it and you will get invincibility frames, this will surprize your opponent. Also aerial vicious or skill are rarely expected, for example you can double jump then right when you land behind somebodys back use diamond crusher. You don't need stam powder at all, you just have to recharge it with block or do wakeup block to get a chunk of stamina and then dodge. Also if you dodge without holding direction you will go backwards and recover faster. I haven't mastered dolphin dive combos yet but you are supposed to hold jump and then do vicious or skill. Also open trash container gives you random stuff.

I think the worst feeling way to be killed by a super is that you try and start a normal strike combo into someone who starts their super and the same time. One way they can balance it is by increasing the start up animation for starting superstar.
