@@spreezyt9567 And once again you miss the point. Best players of the Decade. ( a Decade by the way is Ten years) Barrett is a very good player, one of the few who one day could be the greatest, yet last year was well below his standard, he even said so. Until he has played top international rugby for a decade, I will wait. And you misunderstood my reply, I was quoting your statement. "Best for four years" don't try to twist words to suit your argument.

Name a player that was better than McCaw or DC? Retallick should have been included instead of whitelock, aaron or ben smith ahead of nonu.

@@spreezyt9567 Okay maybe NZ have the best rugby players and coaches but you are not very good at logic or deduction. If you had the best everything you should win every game and every tournament which you clearly don't. SA has 3 World cups and so does NZ, but we didn't play in 1987 so I don't know about that one. NZ has great players and teams, but impossible to just say the best. Something in the water or what?

Ben Smith. The 2nd most skill-fully complete player I've ever seen in over 40 years of playing, coaching and watching Rugby. He could beat and step defenders in tight spaces, had speed and swerve. Great kicking game and a genius under the high ball. Defensively solid and an unsurpassed organiser from the back. And That Fend?

I disagree with Savea, he was a great player for a couple of years, of course he can still be one, but for me Warburton or Furlong, or Mtawarira were better choices

A couple of years as a great player is 2 years longer than Warburton. Good for Wales? Sure, but the NH is playing a much lower quality of Rugby. Savea was objectively a much better player than Jonah Lomu who was only good at World Cups and couldn't pass or tackle.

All players on the list are/were fantastic. However, I'm sure there are a few islanders (e.g. Semi Radradra) who don't get the recognition they deserve because they don't play for one of the top teams.

A slightly off topic question but I am just getting back into mixed martial arts after few year layoff and have grown to around to a mostly solid 300 lb @48"waist and absolutely none of the Mixed Martial Arts fight shorts will fit me because they're made in tiny Asian sizes maxing out at a 40" waist with tiny chicken legs LOL... rugby shorts have all the features MMA shorts do and are probably better quality I need a 48" waist with very large leg openings plus the rubberized or silicone waist gripper...of course no pockets It's so ridiculous that none of the MMA manufacturers have figured out that all their sizes are in Asian dimensions so they miss out on a lot of American Sales Even the top brand MMA manufacturers max out at a -40" waist...how stupid is that?!?!?

He is pretty consistent and makes the correct choices, I guess. Makes many tackles and misses few. I also think his experience is valuable for the players around him - his work ethic too, he sets a professional example. Determination is his game and he gets the best out of those around him. That would be my best argument for him. There are other locks for which great cases can be made, I agree.

There were far better players that could've taken O'Driscol's and Parisse's places. Itoje; Etsebeth; Farrel; Tuilagi; Beast; Pieter Steph Du Toit; Curtley Beale; Aaron Smith. List goes on...

@@spreezyt9567 faf was starting for the lions until he announced he was leaving to sale sharks then they moved him to the bench because cronje was the lions future. Faf is the best defensive scrumhalf currently and his kicking game was the game plan set by Coach Rassie I'd recommend you watch chasing the sun and squidge ruby's video on how south africa won the world cup

Far de Klerk has only really been one of the best for the last three years, he didn't even play at RWC 2015. Over the whole decade he shouldn't be in the top 10

It's 2010-2020, not 2000-2010. O'Driscoll retired in 2014.

@@Me-ex7qg I would recommend it mate shows a different side to rugby based on defence rather than offloading attack - but when the two mix it makes for a great show.
