You know, I'm beginning to suspect you might like Dragon Ball Z

So the first time I played through this game as a kid, I realized that you are not required to play as Gohan through MOST of the game to the point that when I made it to Cell at the end, he was only level 15. I’m sure you know the rest.. 😅

I never did play this game on GBA, because that wasn't my era. But I do remember sitting in class back in High school playing it on an emulator. It was super fun (Tedious in some areas), but a super fun experience to go through the Android saga.

I still have no idea how webfoot went from making one of the most shovel ware titles of all time to an absolute cult classic ARPG dripping with quality and care. It's like there was a big lever in their office labeled "shit game" on one end and "timeless classic" on the other and they just forgot to switch it when making the first one

It's crazy how this game is based on the story of trunks and in the middle of the android saga instead of retelling the show's story from the beginning I find it a nice change

Fun fact - the easy henchmen in the "warlord's domain" area early in the game always give proportionaly the same amount of exp to your character's current level, meaning you can easily grind all your characters up to level 50 on them. Doesn't even require dumping all that many capsules into Hercule's stats to do.

I can finish this for 5 hours only, I've been playing this as a kid 2004 to 2005, the buu"s fury, when I fought kid buu, I only relied at equipments not stat points, I can push goku's level 65 to 100 ridiculous amount of nonstop grind, then I'll go and grind the equipments that increase his stats alot, when you go to the tournament saga and in babidi part for example, a solid 15 str, 15 pow, and 30 end increase until I get that z armour I'm the later part of the game. Constant grind is hard but worth it

I was super happy beating this as a kid since the first one was so bad And i remember beating cooler and the main story a really fun game.

Amazing vid and I love long critiques. I will say tho, I don't think the portraits are that bad for a gba game. Like Goku looked pretty alright. Prob was for the joke but didn't think it hit.

I still remember getting this game for my 12 or 13 bday and I still got my copy love it so much and they did a hell of a job making it so much better

I just realized that if Goku had to go to New Namek to get Dende, wouldn't he have had a chance to run into Cooler there?

as a child i learned that i could punch those triceratops behind the barrier in the corner when u first get to the northern mountains to get alot of lvls early and it's even better with Gohan's masenko that has alot of range so i can kill about 4 of them if i time it right

this is a big nostalgia trips. one of my first dbz games. cant remember if was this or buus fury which has a glitch once you enter a door like.. lvl 47 i think it was? or 50, it locked behind you and you were never able to leave.

Dragon Ball Z games may as well be their own genre of games. As such, Goku is the only anime character I will accept in Smash.

Well king kai never really taught goku how to use instant transmission so they are basically even on theire parts

This is the best one in the trilogy. Buu's fury was good too and had some improvements, but also some changes made the game too easy. I also don't like that you couldn't play as Piccolo or unlock Hercule.

You know, if you read the manga, Goku is far from being as stupid as he seems to be in the anime and DBZA 😅Don't be too harsh on him, he's just persuaded the villains never win fisticuffs. I love Vegeta as well, but I don't think modern media can respect him... I like the Vegeta that scared me as a kid, the one who's not that bad but could kill you on a whim. Yeah I'm not right in the head And well, if you didn't remember, on Super Saiyan 3... Goku says in the manga, prior to fighting Kid Buu by himself, that he could have put down Big Buu and Babidi back then, but he didn't want to interfere as he was dead and wanted the kids to be able to defend Earth by themselves. So I don't know if he overestimated his own strength or if the SSJ3 is a technique suited to dead people, but the Genkidama was really a fuckup last minute decision because "yay together we are stronger" end morale 🤓 I hate this HFIL thing... What's wrong with this American censorship?? I know they did change the name of Satan to Hercule just like in the French dub, but the French dub also did it because they renamed Piccolo "Satan Petit-Coeur" (Satan Littleheart), which was an awesome renaming and I wish the Littleheart title stayed in one way or another, not gonna lie. Great video as usual, in any case. Too bad the game was too lenient on its difficulty. Thank you for making these.
