Never got to see this show but a couple of times growing up. Don't know why but didn't. Great show, no cornie stuff, just true crime fighting. Been watching the series here from 01 and the movie. Love the cars. Brit's New Yorker was sweet. Love the women and the way they dressed and hair styles. Much good about the 60's but some bad too. Those raising hell then are the grandparents or great gp of those today. They called soliders baby killers then like they do today, but their stripes hasn't changed. Killers today and blaming it on good people. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for posting these. When I was growing up in Venice, Fl, we didn't get all the networks prior to cable coming in, so I never get a chance to see them until now. I eventually saw Batman, which lived on in syndication and a couple of movies, and there was an episode that had the Green Hornet and Kato. And of course all the Bruce Lee movies. But this series was ten times better than Batman. Shame it never went into syndication as well.

If ABC did not want an hour-long show, as Van Williams suggested, then all the episodes should have had two parts, one part one week and the final part the following Friday -- essentially hour-long episodes. The 30-minute episodes are tightly written, but there is not time to explore why The Green Hornet does what he does, why does he pose as a criminal, what Britt Reid's private life is like, and how he and Kato met, etc. And, in reality, the episodes are not 30-minute shows, most were about 25 minutes with one break for commercials. Also I think a professional voiceover man, rather than William Dozier, the producer, should have done the opening narration. Perhaps William Conrad, who did "The Fugitive", or George Fennemann, who was the narrator for "Dragnet", and T.H.E. Cat. Dozier does his best, but he is not a professional. He is OK on "Batman", but the opening would have been more dramatic with a know V/O man and a some editing on the opening narration.
