Love getting an email saying that my favorite pathfinder boys posted some new content. Started listening 5 or 6 months ago and I have listened to every released podcast to date, so I understandably get extremely giddy when such a video is posted. Bless you all. Also, Troy, I'm glad that your life worked out the way it did! You're too talented to still be on the beach in Cali. Hopefully one day I can attend one of the live shows in person and see all you wonderful people doing what you do best -- entertain.

That was really damn awesome, loved it. The way they threw jokes nonstop, veered off-topic, and just generally seemed to have a good time really felt ... like how a regular, fun rpg session goes with your friends! I absolutely love the vibes I'm getting, and i cannot wait for the next episode! The characters are all really interesting, i really want to know more about all of them.

Skid does NOT look like I envisaged. Been working my way through the GCP since 2019 (mostly on my work commute, which Troy wouldn't understand) and it's uncanny that I came across this at around the same time that the podcast episodes I'm listening to were recorded (episode 176 and climbing). It really is awesome seeing in person the voices I have become so familiar with this past year. I feel like I know you guys!

I think my favorite part of this whole introduction wasn't the laughter (though I enjoyed every moment) but when Troy asked for initiative in the furnace and went around the table. He was milliseconds away from asking Joe for his roll... BEFORE anyone knew he was the ratfolk we've all come to know and love. 1:42:34

@@celinavivian1162 Can't agree with this, and I'm the hugest Glass Cannon guy ever. But I'd say GCP comes about as close to Critical Role as anyone can, and surpasses them sometimes in certain moments. But I think the all male cast will prevent them from ever hitting that status, they really need to open it up more.

@@davetrachtenberg6855 maybe but at least they play a good roleplaying game like Pathfinder and use veeery coool classes and archetypes. In Critical Role season 1, the only class I find cool was the Gunslinger that Percy played(adapted by Matt). And they play DnD 5e which is so simple that is boring to watch

Amazing guys I loved it! First show is inevitably going to have some sort of technical issue and knowing how Troy is really picky about the production quality I am sure just pissed him off to holy hell knowing some things just couldnt be fixed. Skid couldnt keep a straight face after he gave the names and they rolled with it. I felt bad for Joe but if anything this is another point in his favor on his position of monks. I am excited to see the next one hopefully very shortly after 12/1!

Just at skids into and this is hilarious. Skids welcome to join our folk music night's any time. LoL. We have a bag pipe player a violin player who doesn't know how to play. And an untuned piano. It sounds amazing. LoL Gilbert Godfrey comes over and sings every now and then too. It sounds like angels singing from heaven.

I'm a DM, a few sessions into book 2 Strange Aeons myself. I was recommended this channel by a coworker, gonna give it a shot to see how I can improve my own Strange Aeons game! Edit: I am a newcomer to this channel, why is the group being such a dick to the monk player? It's really off putting, it was a really enjoyable game up until the DM just killed the monk that the guy was really excited to play, and everyone made fun of him for it like i just don't understand

I don't understand how he's dead after 19 damage unless he's got a constitution of 10 or less and didn't take Toughness. Original monk gets 8+Con, so if his con modifier is 0 he'll have 8, FCB for 1, so 9. 19 damage puts him at -10. Unless they're using the old 3.5 rule of dead at -10 instead of dead at -Con.

His con was 12, and he had 10 hp. But he took 5 points of damage from Skid's character throwing the kerosene lamp, so the total's 23, putting him at -13
