It's meant to be a lot of things: a fully capable death metal guitar suite, a "dirtier" than usual metal tone solution, and a Boss HM2 "killer". How well does it hold up in each of these situations? Spoiler: some better than others.

The boost on the noise gate is purely a volume boost & the boost on the grindstein is to tighten up the low end as a conventional boost set up would do. This is my understanding of it anyway.
