I liked this. the narration is perfect, and the story itself really hits on the unsettling feel, no cheap jump scares, no overblown storytelling, just something unnatural and creepy that lingers.

Damn good story! And the guest narrator was great! I’m not usually a fan of guest narrators but this guy was alright! The story was horrifying, imagine living his life. Searching for what scares you the absolute most, and you cannot stop it. Then it takes your beloved wife. That’s too much for anyone. Well done!

So, the pen is mightier than the sword, after all. Hmm? May I say, you have given us a magnificent performance! I could see everything, I could feel everything that the protagonist experienced. And his descent into madness, the night his wife was killed; and the maniacal devolvement at the end of the interview as the interviewer backs away, which reveals the drawings scattered about the floor. The protagonist's face takes on the monstrosity of the Grinning Man when his sunglasses fall off, revealing empty eye sockets, and the maniacal laughter which is expressed as a wide grin in his facial expression. Just because he can't see, it doesn't mean that the Grinning Man has not let go of it's hold on his psyche. I am looking forward to seeing you reach 2,500 subs! And beyond! I'm so glad to see your channel growing, and more people are realizing how talented you are. Or you might just be a really scary guy and this is normal for you. Lol. Nahh! Wow! This is of course fiction, but it scares me half to death! The man those boys saw that night was a Special Forces veteran, he and his partner were fact finding for the Kennedy Administration in Vietnam when the Catholic dictator ordered flame throwers be used on the peaceful Buddhist demonstrators. This man, Indrid Weed Coe was a strange looking man to begin with, having a form of gigantism, and had a habit of smiling a little too much when he used his sort of extra, oh extraness, to find something and try to correct it without bothering to explain. But during the demonstrations, before the United States ever got officially involved, there was Indrid, weirdly enough with his partner, Carrol, also known as my Uncle Clay. The Vietnamese forces carried large flame throwers into the streets and a woman, very young, was set on fire. She couldn’t get away, a line of military vehicles flanked her, but in a split second Indrid had grabbed her ankles, pulled her underneath a vehicle and put out the flames with the dust and with his own body, not caring that he had no protection for his face and hands. Meanwhile a soldier grabbed Clay as a foreigner and shackled him to a different vehicle to be picked up later as they swept the people back viciously. The boys’ handler saw the whole thing and got them all to a sympathetic clinic before Indrid and the girl could be evacuated for burn treatment. So, ok, Indrid had some special skills such as knowing where said dictator was keeping most of its chemistry and firepower, they had been sent to confirm, but if they could have just lit the place up before dawn like they asked none of this would have happened. So, your protagonist admits shooting at a man just because he was tall and weird looking. Well, sometimes our servicemen and women come back looking not so spectacular. Then he gets obsessed and most probably does his own wife in and blames it on IT.Well IT was a good, if troubled vet, and I am working with new friends on Amino to set the record straight. Truth is just as strange as the fiction, just in different ways. But really, I would rather you not spread stories about shooting people for being large and different looking. Do you know that in certain places in Africa people with albinism are considered lower than animals, and it is actually lucky to kill one or at least hack off a body part with the person still alive? Many of these victims come from tribes that are naturally tall and lanky, and many of them seek asylum here, in the uk, Canada, where young people might just get the wrong idea. I have no right to ask you dear sir to pull this story, but I don’t believe a war hero who saved countless lives probably, we will never know exactly, should be treated as a mere boogeyman, do you?
