They are mostly strict catholics, and one of the key moments of Irish war for independence was their fight against the protestant british government. This guy and this policeman are providing arms for the IRA, fighters for Ireland's independence. So, he is based Irish lad who thinks that killing little protestants is funny.

I can confirm that line at the end was actually scripted my dad met the actor who plays the kid in the movie he's grown up now he asked him was that improvised and he said it was scripted my dad replied are you sure your reaction it very genuine and he said well I must be a great actor then Lol

Nah he does say "You tripping nigga", which is not surprising OR used with any negative connotation. The kid has obviously seen too many American movies especially Bad Boys. He's using those actions and mannerisms. This being Ireland there are little to no black people in this town, and the kid most likely either doesn't know that it's a slur or doesn't care about saying it. Given that when he meets Wendell his only care is whether he's from Behavioural Science and not him being black, it's obvious that the kid has no racism in him. I know I have seen kids do this in my country too. We have never met black people face to face and most don't have the knowledge that saying "nigga" is a bad thing. For the longest time we'd call each other "nigga" coz we all saw bad boys. Granted there are plenty ignorant people who'd think black people are just called "nigga" without any idea (they are stupid) but most know what the case is and would never say it around them if they did meet them.

@@kweejibodali7009 The guns were part of a weapons cache for the IRA. The kid was asking what use a tiny gun like that would be to the IRA. The cop then said (jokingly) that maybe the little gun was for killing little protestants.
