@@magistradox39 same, but i figured it out. The in game tutorial was to clunky and there were a lot options and moving parts that it was just all over the place. It really needed a better overlay and simple. But the more complex it was, its because the game wanted to stave off from being just a basic sim. You have the option to grow your dynasty and career in middle ages. This is exactly what the life would have been like for individuals who wanted to work their way up in society. The game gives you an option to stay and be a commoner or rank up. You have the choice to take office but you have the option to keep staying in that office and retain your reputation OR retain your reputation by other means (hurting your hecklers, competitors) and people will fear you if they decide to vote you off an office seat. If you dont do the violent way, you have to work your way up of maintaining a good reputation and be nice and kiss other peoples ass by taking bribes (or offering bribes). But that is politics. So either stay as a business man and keep making that money and just continue your dynasty. Or if you decide to run for office and be a rich bastard - you have the option to do so but prepare to be harassed by competing folks who dont want to see you get rich. The game was fun but it was repetitive.

i mean u just have to READ and fumble around cause yeah they dont explain well where they buttons-options are. (Go to action bar and select X). ME... where or what the f is action bar lol. but ofc common sense tells u ok must be the main one down bottom etc. but yea its not intuitive. making a video like this is time consuming. i apprecaite him doin this. i had this game for years got 30 mins in. but been wanting to play it. now that its all patched up and so on. i hoping i can have a good time. i dont expect perfection. but it be something

Even the devs tutorial has a "just ask the community for help" on it, which I don't think I've seen before but at least they had faith in their customers and were correct in it.

Glad I could help! My guide shows an easy way to get businesses making reliable money to experiment with other game mechanics but it's also a lot of fun to delve into the micro management to achieve specific objectives! Once you reach the title of Sovereign and effectively "finish" the game the gameplay is open ended enough to be enjoyed in the more mundane tasks too lol

Thank you! For long distance transport, once you reach Patrician title you have a long distance voyage option that shows up under Dynasty actions. It cost 2100 and sends your character out of the map for a while. If you have high enough stats the mission will be successful and give lots of prestige and unlock the destination. The long distance destination is a dock or border building that acts exactly like a normal market afterward but you sometimes have a bonus for purchase or sale prices. Once I made almost 200k buying horses cheap in a long distance market! Transporter routes are just not that great to use. If you go in your buildings stockpile screen and set the minimum and maximum amounts your transporters will do the rest buying and selling goods across the map. For workers upgrades, I did forget to mention there is an option in the settings to auto-level them which is what I usually do. But otherwise dexterity is very good as it increases productivity and movement speed!

Thanks for the comment, I agree sometimes just seeing where someone clicks makes it all seems too obvious! Something a wall of text wouldn't ever be able to fix. I share the feeling that the game is less lively still than the previous titles and just doesn't capture the experience of following your band of rogues in raiding an apothecary nor discern the actual impact of the city roles except for the rat race to stuff the higher echelons with you dynasty. G3 feels way closer to a transport tycoon game where you move goods from a cheap purchase point to a pricier sell point than actually living your characters' lives.

The transporter AI does calculation for distance/cost of the input goods and will sometime go directly to your windmill to acquire. Alternatively you can build a warehouse and manage all the goods from it by setting trade routes. Marrying your kids allow you to have one more generation as you would usually need 3 to 5 generations to reach the top political position, or you can marry them off for money to other families in the trade screen.

I just got it to and first impressions, easily most overwhelming start to game I ever played lol, I'm hoping that means thats how deep and long lasting dynasty wise it can be when you finally get how to do things....but for now though admittedly just couple hours in its soooooo soo overwhelming to start Like most I figured out to do was hit on a girl and play a lute to gain a bit of exp lol so so so hard to figure out and where and what to start outright ya know, really hope can get the hang of it cause can see the potential..potentially.

I have played the Guild 3 since it came out in early access and it was a total let down then. 3 Years later and many updates, new developers working on it I can confirm it is in a much better place! They added a lot of elements from the Guild 2 that were missing like interiors but removed a the "RTS" aspect of controlling all your units at once. They are aiming much more at a role playingish experience of running a dynasty and businesses. Some of the quirkness of the second game is present but it doesn't feel like an unravelling comedy show like it used to. Since the launch of EA they went form 4 to 16 professions, made a complete overhaul of the cities and elected positions, included long distance trading and foreign warfare "quests", simplified the courts and elections (we lost the scenes we had in TG2 but it is easier and much faster for the player). And many players had issues with low frame rates and poor performance but this has pretty much all been fixed. The game is coming off early access this summer and they have very few updates left to do. So the game already feels completed by now, and truthfully even a year ago I would have had difficulty saying that. If you have enjoyed The Guild 2, I do believe you will enjoy playing The Guild 3, it does things differently but the QoL updates and general controls are much more modern that what we had in the second installment. I for sure now recommend new players with no experience on the guild 2 to pick up the third!

If you hire a transporter they will automatically buy and sell goods according to the stock listing in the other page. Generally you do not need to modify it

Click on your house and you will have the option to hire henchman, I don't remember if it is on the right like in a business or in the bottom options

You also need to have the Patrician title unlocked I believe

How many children can you have how intricate is it I just started and right off the start looks potentially neat but soooo dang overwhelming like dont know where or what to start to do first, can ya have large families down the road get big residences etc just how intricate is it? hope I can get hang of it cause right off the bat super overwhelming with zero exp playing any of them so far.
