This is not a criticism of the show Just a comment from a fan, But if walt really was a chemist, He would know that the ignition point for thermite is sixty degrees celsius. Meaning he wouldn't shake it or throw it a jessie like that.

The reason why you could drop bombs on the gun for months and not disable it is because the bombs in WW2 have been rather pretty inacurate and not because the gun was so well armored. It was a large railway artillery not a tank.

I hate to have to correct Walter White, but the Gustav gun was vulnerable to bombs. On the rare occasions, where it actually was deployed it was surrounded by an entire anti-aircraft battalion.

Funniest part is that Jesse’s kinda right to be freaked out when Walt throws the bag at him. Thermite can ignite in a container from friction, especially if it’s being shaken vigorously, or tossed around.

Walter white: Ww2 ..Germans had an altilary piecees it's the biggest in the world called the Gustav gun it wieghed a thousand tons the Gustav was keepable of firing a 7 ton shell and hitting a target accurately 23 miles away hahaha I mean you can drop bombs on it everyday for a month without ever disabling it but drop a commandow one with a bag of this and he could melt 4 inches of solid steel and destroy that gun forever
