This was a good explanation. JazakAllah Khairan. It's like a teacher saying to his student despite your absence from classes you still got good grades.

The implication of his explanation is that the womens witness rule in finance was just historical. Women today are just as sharp as men (I work in finance and have known many) and of course there is no difference in measured intelligence (IQ). So this hadith is just an historical situation - not universal - so why not just admit this?

It's just you who work in finance, not all the women, for instance caliph Omar even appointed a women as finance minister of madinah and Makkah, but it was an exception

@@novelworld9040 Yes, the ayat refers to womens witness in finance and business, that is what I am referrring to. Your example may have been an exception in those days, and presumably the prophet' s first employer Khadija was another. My point is that times have changed, women are educated, they have the same intelligence as men and have no deficiency. Muslim scholars need to accept this. If not, no one can take them seriously.

I think it’s a compliment, our prophet pbuh was saying we are actually smarter in this matter despite having periods and not being leaders in a sense

soyou just mentioned a job specific thing which is oddly specific. Then you said a woman testimony in a murder. Youre saying a woman has worse mental performance of a man and what she says shouldn't be believed. So if a woman gets R* worded, her account of events is worth half that of a man.

Prophet was misquoted. He probably said women think with emotion whilst men think tactically.

I am an ex muslim girl who thought more logically and rationally than Muslim men who blindly follow Islam because of their emotional connection with it.

If that was the case men would not be responsible for wars, rapes and murders ( especially domestic violence) - violent acts which have nothing to do with being intelligence but instead these acts of violence are linked to anger, impulsiveness and ego. So if you consider that most violent acts are committed by men - men are more emotional than women and certainly not more intelligent or wiser than women.
