You guys are mistaking Ushiwaka's confidence for arrogance- He's truly not a jackass even though he comes off as one, he simply believes in power and confidence proved by your record, which he and his team have both of. He has every right to be cocky and confident, one prime example is that this is the first time Ushiwaka has ever been blocked by someone in their prefecture. If teams can't *BLOCK* you let alone *WIN* against you, he has every right to be confident when going up against a team that hasn't been to nationals nor finals in years.

They know already. This season was prerecorded like a month ago (it took this long to get to yt bcuz of the edits) so they can’t learn from the comments of one episode and then reflect on it in the next bcuz they can’t turn back time. Millions of people have already told them, I’m pretty sure they know already ever since the misunderstanding began and ppls started commenting about it. It’s sad, but prerecording reactions has its pros and cons.

Ushijima isn’t an asshole, he’s just confident in his talent and ability. He’s not a social person, he just knows he’s better than people (and he is, he’s a better individual player at this point than anyone else we’ve met, a better spiker than anyone else is whatever they are) so he uses that fact to guide him and he lets others know that ... being humble isn’t something he even comprehends. He also believes the strong should distance themselves from the weak and that those who haven’t proven themselves adequately (i.e. Karasuno at this point) shouldn’t seem outwardly confident. Obviously, he has character flaws but he’s not being purposely malicious.

fun fact from behind the scene in this one! i saw in an interview with Tsukki's voice actor (Uchiyama Kouki) that everytime there was a scene where all the Karasuno players were cheering, the voice director told Uchiyama to sit it out. for 2 whole seasons. Uchiyama didn't get to cheer with the other actors for 2 whole seasons. so Tsukki's cheer after blocking UshiWaka was built on 2 seasons of the voice actor being told to hold back, then letting 2 seasons worth of emotions out all at once (copied)

@@staceysales814 That's just his personality, he is one of the top players in the entire country of Japan for his age division so of course anybody who isn't a top player would seem "weak" to him, honestly it's what anybody would say if they were that good of a player, plus he does change during the Time-Skip and him and Kageyama work well as a team in the future. He really isn't that bad but ofc it's your opinion.
