An old ww2 vet and custom home builder showed me how to drive a 12 common with two hits with a little practice I started driving them like roofing tacks, I miss that guy he built some amazing houses he was still hand nails only on all the inside trim and cabinets until he passed about 8 years ago the man was a legend

You guys crack me up. I was exercising the long distance roofing nail off a ladder with a hatchet handle 16oz. Stiletto that l ground the waffling off the head. Best hammer ever in my humble opinion.

Me and the guys did our own version of a single hit drive challenge, 5 nails, square pattern and one in the center, you get one shot to hit each in the same pattern one after the next. It was a good way to kill a coffee break lol

Us builders are "essential" (critical infrastructure) 🔨 Don't worry, they are quarantined up in the mountains every day Much like we are quarantined to BFE in the holler every day where we build. That 6ft rule though.... 😶😷

I worked for a framing crew that fired a guy for using his hammer too much when he could of used a nail gun instead. Just hand drove the rat runners on the trusses and they told him to pack up and leave. It was weird.

I feel like wood handle hammers sink nails in easier because they flex just a tad bit. Kimd of like in boxing, you punch with a quick and loose arm and only tighten your fist at the end of your punches. But for banging in stakes or moving walls or something like that steel or titanium is better since they flex less than wood

When I was frameing years ago when someone would come up asking for a job the first thing we 'd ask is he could spin his hammer like at the start of the vid.If they said yea we would tell them no we have enough guys that know how to goof off.
