Yeah and it is exactly what Yuu Asaka is known for. His first puzzle (jigsaw 29) was for an assignment I believe. He wanted to showcase what thinking outside the box would look like.

I remember watching Chris's video and when it took him a couple of hours to solve, I thought level 10 puzzles are really difficult. But then BAM! you solve this in 30 min!!!!!!!! Will you do more brainteaser puzzles? I think you're really good at them. And , corner :D

I don't like the little gaps in btwn the pieces. It doesn't look "solved" to my eye. My brain just rejects the look of the results. Good job w the time tho.Corner.

this isnt traditional puzzle, the goal is to just put all the pieces in the frame. it doesn't have to look "pretty"

That's part of the challenge. Things that look like they might fit together don't necessarily do that. The goal was to fit them in the tray. It doesn't say how.

this is very much the point of this particular style of puzzle. they are designed to be very non intuitive in completion. the creator very much wants solvers to think outside the box.

I'm not a fan of 'surprise' puzzles like this; anyone who tried solving it without knowing the secret trick would naturally assume they're supposed to fit somewhat cleanly with no gaps, like a regular jigsaw puzzle. Luckily you spotted it early on and didn't waste too much time on it, unlike Chris Ramsey who must've been confused with all the CORNERS.

Well, the task was to fit all the pieces onto the tray and not connect them, right. It's not really surprise. Unless you give it to someone and tell them it's jigsaw puzzle but that's kinda mean misdirection.

It's not enough to just make something hard for it to be fun. You have to feel like you figured something out rather than just search a random space until stumbling on the goal. Also, Karen's gentle laugh could mean either slight amusement or maddening rage.

Hmm, I'm going to disagree with you here because I think this is exactly what it feels like when you've come up with a perfect solution to something you've been thinking about for a while. A Eureka moment. You play around until something close to it fits, then finally, the last one is like, THAT'S IT! It's meta but I like it

I like brain teasers, but they are expensive to ship from Canada to the Netherlands, but ('corner') I bought an easy lock puzzle from puzzlemaster to give my girlfriend promise rings (which we choose together) for her birthday back in February this year. But she didn't know I did that, nor that it was a puzzle so she had to figure out how to get the rings out. It was really fun and I think quite original.

Corner! Way to go Karen you are awesome at these puzzles. I have never done an Asaka puzzle but they are on my wish list. I have done brain teaser puzzles, twisty puzzle, but my favorite will always be Jigsaw puzzles. Love your videos as always.

That'a the first thing i would check and see i miss half a little square. The other thing i notice is why that curves on acute angles next to quarter circles. But had no clue to why until watching final solution

I used to do a lot of jigsaw puzzle when I was in middle school to relax myself and I had to give up because it took me too much time, now Im 3 years through college and watching your channel makes me happy, I wanna go back to make more of them. I actually like doing these kinds of puzzles. This is kind of the most advanced of these kinds of puzzles. But the key is to eliminate options, just like with regular jigsaw puzzles. You know that you can find a solution no matter how it is rotated or flipped, so pick a piece to have a particular orientation and stick to that. Then based on that piece, you figure out exactly what can go around it. There will always be a possibility you can eliminate at this stage too; some piece that can't align with it without there being a big gap. From there you kind of solve it like a cryptogram. What is the most logical groups of patterns to follow? And at some point you eliminate the most common patterns until you get to the one that makes sense but you weren't thinking of- and you solve it :)

I used to do lots of puzzles like this, and I'm really good at them. There's less of a technique to it than you might think, just systematic guessing is usually the correct method. Although now that I look at this one, I'm sure there's a way to use maths to prove that a tricky solution is necessary. Imagine the board is a checkerboard, and pay attention to the number of black squares covered by each piece... Okay maybe I lied, there's a technique to these puzzles.

I had watched Chris Ramsey’s video and remembered the solution halfway through. But I would never scream at you for not getting it because I personally hate these kinds of puzzles so I’d rather watch other people suffer instead! Lol. I missed your all corner video so I’m going back to watch that now!
