@burtan20009 ай бұрын
I like how Odysseus says it in Troy (addressing Achilles): "war is old men talking and young men dying. You know this my friend" I do think old men that have endured war, and that see it as ONLY an option if last resort, are most qualified to be the ones sending men to kill or be killed. They do not make such decisions lightly. Men that would rather humiliate themselves than lose one man unnecessarily, or to kill unnecessarily. The most lasting peace are the ones that are found through strength of arms.

Virtually all of them but officers were just kids. And that's how it was, too. They just marched millions of teens and guys in early 20's to their deaths. Most rotted in trenches for a bit first. Rotted, froze, starved, etc. You'd think that would've been enough, that they wouldn't have needed a bigger badder sequel to learn to stop that. But then you realize, they'd been doing that about once a generation since.... well, since forever. As far back as we know. So what as different about the second one that made it finally teach everyone to quit killing each other? The bomb? The US? Capitalism? Or, have we just been saving up?

In 1864-1870 we (Brazil) were at war against Paraguay. Paraguay had approximately 350 thousand inhabitants, Brazil had 10 million inhabitants, we easily repelled their attack, but after they sent 25 year old men, they started sending 20 year old men, when the 20 year old men died they sent young men. There was a time when there was no longer a Paraguayan army, so the Dictator sent children between 6 and 10 years old, women and old people to war, I don't need to comment on what happened but I will. Around 3,500 children were massacred by 20,000 professional soldiers. Why didn't he stop the attack? I don't know. Why did you want to invade Brazil so much? I don't know. But today we see this in history books and we feel ashamed. Even though we are defending ourselves.

Artillery and gunfire was carried out by both sides literally until clocks struck 11:00, at which time everything went silent (thanks to surviving audio recordings you can actually hear the moment that the war ceased). On the final day, though, there were skirmishes and the Battle of Mons was the last battle of the war. Of the 11,000 casualties on Armistice Day, the last known death was 15 minutes before 11am (it's possible, if not outright plausible by morale and morality) that with everyone knowing the war was ending in hours and minutes, that fire from artillery and riflemen were intentionally being shot into nothingness since it was inane to continue fighting.

They already knew it was a fight for their county, and they thought they’d make themselves and those they love proud by fighting, but they had no idea the conditions they’d face. just to add this information in ww2 the propaganda started to get its peak, posters with the ariers (blond hair blue eyes) were hung up everywhere they were portrayed as the glory people, with house and wife because they are the better species, the better human, the proudness of germany and if you wanted to be as successful as them, you had to go to war. most of you probably know the disney cartoons that were used for propaganda as well, they peaked in ww2 as well later they didnt had enough men to go to war, because many already died in ww1 and the few that still were there in ww2 so they started to post pictures of stron independent women, that are as great as men, and strong as men so the women start to go to war as well (in schools they even prepared children, and there was a full army called die hitler jugend (hitlers youth or so)

The weird thing is. The folks with no families, nothing to go home to….never seemed to mind the war. They kept a smile. Cause they were just happy to be a group of people until they never woke up again. They just had company that they didn’t want to leave them so they caught hard and long to keep their company abundant. “If I die, I’ll be alone but I won’t have to feel it ever again” that shit hurts a lot to know it’s like that for a lot of soldiers on every side.

What about the harsh reality for innocent Palestinians from 1948 since they let in the Jewish refugees into Palestinian the Jews turned into Zionists now known as ‘Israel’ and have killed millions of innocent people in Gaza. What about in the past week they’ve killed thousands of more Palestinian babies at gunpoint, raped their women burnt Palestinians corpses and urinated on them that’s disgusting and Inhumane. Israel are monsters. Israel cut off water supply, electricity, medical aid, killed the paramedics, bombed the hospitals and school, stopped food supplies and stopped donations for Gaza. Y’all so comfortably talk about war crimes and war victims yet never bat an eyelid when it comes to Palestinians and what America and Netanyahu also known as satanyahu has caused. I feel sick that anyone could harm a child let alone kill millions and burn their corpses and urinate on it and laugh at these disgusting crimes like they meant nothing, that’s what Israel has done.
