I personally don't care what people say . I just wanted to watch a romantic movie and I randomly picked this one . I loved this movie despite not being exactly like the book . Most importantly I enjoyed it . I'd rate it 10/10 .

Yup! I’m not a huge Lucy Hale fan and the reason I didn’t read the book was because it had her on the cover lol BUT ironically I actually ended up watching the movie and loved it! I did hate that his brother married his ex-girlfriend but that is from the book. I wish they hadn’t set it in NY and picked a more romantic slower city but it was still cute.

It's probably better that you haven't read the book yet. I haven't watched the movie but I have read the book and after watching this clip, I'm put off from watching the movie. But maybe I should watch it and just try to not compare it to the book.

Yaa mee too feel the same....i felt feel the tension even a week after watching the movie...climax was not great though ( could have done better).. otherwise love this movie and yes austin was freaking handsome and good in his performance....he spoke thorough his eyes throughout...i really not sure shd i read the book or not...wat u guys suggest?

I hate to say it but his acting was really stiff. No charm, just looks. The set, Te music and the actress carried the chemistry entirely. I thought the goofy friend came off as more attractive.

Surprising and fun? She was scared he is going to kill her. Movies and books usually picture it like a hot steamy situation but in real life you would not want to be kissed by the man you are scared of.

I don't know about the book, but this movie actually surprised me! Normally after the trailer you sort of get the feel of the film and I thought it was gonna be cringe and you know, cringe again lol... but I liked the little scenes that threw me off and made me analyse the characters more in depth, also great actors, amazing job! One of my favourite movies now! Tension, anger, annoyance, passion and even a little danger ;)

God...i get that the scene was changed from the book. But the fans need to understand why it was necessary the kiss was abrupt in the book with no hints from the female lead whatsoever....he picked her up first and then when she was scared he was gonna kill her he kissed her....exertion of force cause she doesn't have a way to push away....thats how it would have looked like and definitely not romantic. So I completely get this decision. If anything this made more sense than book Josh's excuse of just trying to test a theory

It's hard to see in this edit as it happens just before, but the soft little look/smile Josh privately gives when he's looking really gave it away to me that he's totally in love with her. I loved this movie. Watched it twice back to back. Also he is sexy! And she is lovely! Perfect.

I like that he stops the games and just gets honest and straight-forward about the situation. I also like that he directly asks her how she feels: does she really hate him? For a man who has had feelings for her for awhile, I can understand that question being critical when she talks about "wanting to str*ngle him" and she sounds angry with him. For him, he's wondering if it's really the case. They play games when they're both ok with it, but when he needs to stop for something (like here or when he apologizes the next day) (and I would think it happens for her as well), they get honest about things. He also directly addresses this when she brings it up when she's sick. He doesn't joke about it or become sly and that's good I think.

This was a pretty great movie. Really good writing, and casting. The only small criticism was the last 15 minutes felt rushed and I would have done it a bit different. Great chemistry between the actors, I wouldn't have said no to a few more elevator type scenes! One of the few romcoms that I really enjoyed.

As a person who read the book first, this movie made me so bad. All the stuff was out of order, some of the scenes weren't right, I didn't even finish it. And it also looked a little low budgeted but who knows.

I think it's not as bad because in my experience what he describes as "schoolyard play" is something that happens often between crushes, and he probably knows that. The fact he asks "do you really hate me" to me sounds like him asking if she likes him. I haven't read the book but I do feel like if he didn't ask if she hates him and then kissed her while she is scared would be a lot less ok
