The hazbin hotel intro explained. Who is eve?
So at the start of episode 1 of hazbin hotel we get an intro cinematic that explains the story of how lucifer fell from grace and became the ruler of hell. We learn that adam was the first man, while the first woman was lilith. Lilith fell in love with lucifer. The second woman was eve, and lucifer gave her the forbidden fruit which caused evil to enter the world.
Throughout that scene we have root related imagery which reminds me of roo, or the root of all evil a villain that vivzie has teased in the past.
Fans noticed that eve’s hair and expression is eerily similar to lilith’s on her trading card. This combined with the fact that lilith has been missing for 7 years, points to the fact that lilith might have gone missing because eve, or roo, is disguised as her.

I knew Lilith wouldn’t be there!! I remember reading a comment that when Charlie calls her in the pilot, the dial tone is not ‘unanswered’, but is actually ‘this number is no longer in service’. Have a rewatch; I wish more people knew about that

Something that I noticed that not a lot of people have mentioned is that along with Lilith, Alastor had also been gone for 7 years up until the pilot which is presumably 1 week before the first episode of the series, assuming it's canon now. I wonder if their disappearances are connected at all or if its just a coincidence. Another off topic theory I have about the show is that Eve is Roo (the root of all evil) purely because she was the one who took the apple, ate it, and was what caused evil to become widespread. I might just be reaching though, I don't know lol.

Yeah your right. I feel like Lilith is gone/missing like she is locked away somewhere or is just in active for those 7 years like Alastor. Since Eve is the second women that was created, she kinda created the evil root by eating the apple. But I feel like this, in the story, Adam wanted to control Lilith like a servant but she didn’t like it, Adam felt really upset until Eve came along. But I feel like Adam is still hooked onto Lilith since she is the first women that was created and she was created for Adam and I feel like Adam doesn’t feel the same way to Eve like how he did with Lilith. Idk that’s just a theory. But you’re right! In the first episode, Alastor joined the team for a week but he is inactive for 7 years but he is not dead nor missing but for Lilith, she is inactive or missing for 7 years and maybe she just didn’t want to draw attention by the angels particularly Adam because for sure he would go after Lilith. But at the end of the episode, we can see a dead Angel and a couple of people thought Alastor was the one that killed the Angel but some disagreed. This is because sinners can be killed by the angelic weapons so someone has to be strong enough to beat those weapons. People then said that maybe it was Lilith that killed that Angel to get back at Adam for him forcing her to obey him like a servant. This is just a theory that I have and some others as well. I don’t know if it’s true or not but I also have a feeling that Lilith and Alastor’s inactive appearance might be connect or if it’s just a coincidence.

I mean, most people would go full on supervillain if they were forced to live with that version of adam and blamed for everything their whole lives and probably afterlife. If eve is disguised as lilith and the angels have started getting killed in the extermination thing then she'd probably be doing it to stike back at her husband and the other angels.

@@untitled-gv3qp I think that’s right but in the first episode, Eve replaced Lilith as Adam’s new bride and Lilith and Lucifer was cast out to hell. Only angels are able to go to hell so if Eve want to go to hell, she’ll have to be an Angel. Not only that but Charlie even said that she hasn’t heard anything from her mom for 7 years. So it’s possible that Lilith has been inactive for 7 years like Alastor but he has just been inactive but not missing. I feel like she has been in the shadows for a while and trying to strike back against the angels and most likely against Adam. But I wonder why Eve wants to strike back against Adam but it’s likely because he wanted to control her like how he wants to control Lilith. It’s possible that Eve wanted to be like Lilith, free and able to be independent. So it’s likely that she wanted to be like Lilith.

I think Lilith and Alastor actually have some kind of hidden connection as well (the basis being that Alastor and Lilith were both missing for the same 7-year time gap and that Alastor appears right after Charlie tried to call Lilith).

@@BaeBunni Spoiler alert I think in episode 5 or 6(?),One of the scenes when Minzy was still there,Husk goes after alastor and then at least from those scenes,Husk said that he was also soulbound from someone, Someone who is powerful than alastor and then alastor was quick to shut husk's mouth up and continued on

you know it would have been cool if charlie and Adam got alone and Adam actually revealed he hates doing the exterminations but he fears if he doesn't eve would return and well he's stuck between a molten rock and a wall of sharp things, and shows us adam real face is like idk bearded but grey showing how stressed he is and how close to tears he is doing this, that would have been epic to shown that adam isn't a prick just cause, he's prick because he's doing the best he can with such dire consequences if he fails he sometimes lashes out and he feels horrible, you know what fuck it i'm (kinda) sleep deprived and bored enough i'm going to write a fanfic about this shit

I think its an interesting detail to note that Charlie says she hasn't seen her mom, Lilith, in 7 years. And its made very clear by Vox and others that Alastor has been gone for 7 years too. AND When Zestial asks him where he'd been he says; "Oh I just took a well earned sabbatical nothing serious!" And he looks from side to side with his eyes 👀👀 SO LIKE I DUNNO

Since Adam, Lilith and Eve are here I wonder if Cain and Able are. It would be cool. Like, one day Cain shows up at the hotel to get reformed and hopefully, see his brother again. Maybe Able would be hanging around his dad, Adam just learning the ropes on how to handle a army and how the whole extermination thing goes. My theory is that maybe Roo is Eve? Since Eve was the first to eat the fruit of good and evil. She is quite literally the root of why sinners go to hell. She is probably also the one that keeps Alastor on a leash. When there was a flashback when Charlie was a kid. “Lilith’s” face is blurred out. Why would her face be blurred out? Especially when there’s a picture of her face in the background. (Lucifer also said during the fight with Adam that he slept with both Lilith AND Eve. Perhaps Charlie is revealed to be Eve’s daughter instead?) Also, instead of Lilith sending Alastor to help Charlie out. Maybe Eve sent him to sabotage Charlie’s plan out of envy of how Eve ended up in hell because of Lucifer and Lilith. Maybe she tricked Lucifer to sleep with her in spite of Lilith?

In the Bible, Lilith was married to Adam at one point, but I don’t think that they’re going to make Louis and Eve the same person because they’re not in the Bible although I know this isn’t completely biblically accurate I think that Eva is going to be a separate person in the TV show as well but I think we’re just gonna get some lore about Adam and Eve and Adam and Lilith so I’m really excited to see how it goes

@ayylmaotv I HAVE AN EXTENSION TO THIS THEORY!! NOT SURE IF THIS'LL BE SEEN BUT!- I'm sure you remember your theory about Lilith having some sort of doppelganger up in heaven or something similar to that happening. What if.. Eve is that doppelganger. It would theoretically make sense afterall; Eve was second to Lilith and it would make sense that she would try to take over Lilith's life since her purpose could have been to be a better clone of Lilith. Eve could have felt shadowed by Lilith so maybe is the one who really made a deal with Alistor; and now Lilith lives in some sort of alternate dimension or something. This would probably have to be separate from Alistor's because maybe then Alistor would be able to set Lilith free somehow and she could break his contract with Eve. Back to the original message though; Eve could have felt as if she was just a shadow of Lilith and therefore she would want to take over her life, meaning, Eve takes her husband, where she lives, etc etc. This can maybe even tie Eve back into the true storyline.

One issue if roo is disguised as her, then why isn’t she appearing by Lucifer side then pretend to be her. However I feel like Adam may have done something to Lilith disappearance as he has like a petty nature. But how Alistair appeared the same time she disappeared seems suspicious Lilith having an influence with her voice and Alistair somehow that has ability interesting. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lilith is inside Alistair‘s microphone.

I had a theory that Eve was actually Roo, who has Alastor's soul. Then people started crying at me that Roo wasn't a canon character because she was only mentioned on a fan wiki page, so my theory was not feasible. Glad to know that Viv has teased her as an actual character and that someone else believes that Eve could be Roo.

At first i thought the story of hell in the star was really, really weird and romanticized, but after thinking about it, maybe that's the point Like can we really fully trust that introduction ? From the fact that was actually a book charlie had and the extremelly biased portrait showing lilith and lucifer as a poor little tragic couple and the angels being totally intolerant and bad, i think it isn't actually the true story In fact it actually looks like a bed time story charlie's parents told her, and of course they would paint themselfs as the good misunderstood guys and heaven as a bad place the "their precious daughter" and general romantization of lilith and lucifer sells it to me, plus when she said the extermination was to avoid hell rise and take over heaven, that might actually be not the true story, just the view charlie has with her raibow tinted glasses

If the wiki is anything to be trusted (and I’ve got no freaking clue bc it’s like an entire 5 seasons of the show when it just aired this year so I’m confused af) Lilith is the demon that came from Eve and Roo trapped eve in her own body when she took the apple. That was basically Eve’s punishment for defying the rules. She was damned to be alone trapped within her own mind forever, and in her place came Lilith who took her over. However again I’ve got no freaking clue so I’m confused AF bc with everything that’s been made around the show idk what’s cannon, what’s fan made, and what the order to things is as I’ve never heard mention of a comic or anything and there’s still songs and music made for these characters yet there’s no show. I think it would be interesting if Eve is Roo. In the children's bible I read Adam sorta threw Eve under the bus so I could imagine she got thrown in hell, became mad, and became Roo. I don't think she's impersonating Lilith though.
