Thanks for this video. My small lake was poisoned 3 years ago when a newly built 3G rubber dust sports field became waterlogged in heavy rain and overflowed rubber and chemicals into it. Homewood School Tenterden UK refused to come and see the devastation. The UK Environmental Agency has swept the matter under their carpet and closed the case saying it was a "localized Issue" a "planning issue" and they do not have the resources to cover every complaint??? Ashford Council Planning Department was then contacted but so far no one has contacted me other than to say that if the drains at the school are as per the planning apps at the time planning was granted then the case will be closed? Our MP does not want to get involved and the Ministry for Sports and Culture who are responsible for UK 3g sports fields has done nothing other than pass the buck to the EA. who in effect has past the buck to Ashford Council. Before our small lake was poisoned had been an enchanting oasis and haven for all local wildlife, pondlife aquatic plant life and aquatic creatures but now it is a brown barren soup yet ones a perfect ecosystem for many decades. Now it has been destroyed. The 3g pitch in question does not comply with any guidelines and hence we get more poison into our lake every time it rains. God knows what it does to the young children who inhale the dust and fumes, fungus and bacteria as the exert themselves playing football. What can we do to get justice and compensation? The banks are now eroding fast and other knock-on effects occurring and under the Rivers and Ditches Act we have to repair everything ourselves. Our retirement is ruined and it will take all our money up and we may have to sell our home to pay for it all when it has been inflicted on us. The same could be happening unnoticed all over the UK but our greatest concern is the damage this evil stuff is doing to children. Surely common sense tells us all that kids inhaling rubber dust and fumes, bacteria and fungus etc. will be harmed.

Sand is a healthier alternative as an artificial turf infill and is cheap. Why rubber crumb is being used when it has heat and chemical issues is beyond comprehension. The crumb rubber can be removed using industrial vacuums and replaced with fine sand.

Obvious but in the UK they are to install 100 more shredded tyre sports fields. Rugby players are to get theses types of toxic sports fields now. Millions of tons of toxic perishing decomposing tyre granules are now "stored" on open UK land. Parents and teachers kept from the truth so that the prime location grass sports fields can be sold off---stolen from under our sporty kids feet. Parents and teachers must Boycott the toxic awful product immediately.

Just use grass.

Are there carcinogens in this type of S/turf? Over time every thing wears down to micro dust and as players stir it up-- they inhale it
