It makes noises when I hit bumps and stuff and today I had the idea of checking out the strut mount bolts with a breaker bar. Effectively, it's exactly that. How can I rid this problem?

All wrong dude. The mount are the three on the outside. That's the strut cap that keeps the spring on. 😂

i got this in my xb on the rear passenger side. happens on its own when the body warps over uneven terrain ( bumps, hills). Took it and they said it the plastic chassis caused by your audio insulation. Just recently they called me ( about 6 months later) admitting to a possible strut problem.

would you hear this noise when turning the steering wheel left and right? This sounds like the same noise my steering wheel is making when i turn it in back and fourth to the left and right, also on slow turns you can somewhat hear it but not as much as in park or idling.

what was it? Im having the same issue as you described

@@Gobiw4x i just replaced my 2 front struts, the driver side needed to be replaced but instead of doing just one i did the set bc down the road ill just have to have the passenger side ones done; mine as well get them both done at the same time lol. But yah i just had the whole assembly replaced because it was easier instead of disassembling the whole thing just for a upper strut mount, u can tell the difference to bc the wheel is tighter with turns now also so it feels like new steering oh and no noise anymore! Also remember to get an alignment done also so you dont mess with your tire wear

Did u ever figure it out? or was it really just the strut mount?

I have the same noise. It's incredibly annoying. I think I'm ordering new struts and upper strut mounts soon.

It indeed was the strut mount and I guess over-torquing it but it seems to go away a tiny bit after months. Still, it wasn't cool. I recommend just getting coils with this car lol or just getting they entire suspension done
