The line, “ I’ve known you all your life, and have yet to see you learn anything ”. That to me is the final blow. He viscously attacks everything one can imagine, only to then declare that he believed her too witless, too stupid to learn from his cruel assessment. Thus declaring, he wasn’t finally speaking “the truth” to help her, to instruct, or enlighten her. She was no more than a witless animal to kick or berate as he deemed his right. She WAS taught by masters to be cruel.., very cruel. And he was wrong. She could learn. 💯

I love the scene where she tells her father, he will never know what she will do with his money because he will be dead. The look of shock and hurt on his face, he can’t believe Catherine was as cruel as him

That is my favorite scene in the whole movie, when Catherine finally stands up to her father. For some reason I can't find it on You Tube, but I'm hoping it will turn up. I also remember her father saying he's going to change his will and Catherine snaps back, "Well, then, you'd better be quick about it". Take THAT, Dr. Sloper!
