Is it 100% accurate? probably not, but as you will see at the end of the video it doesn't really matter. The money that the US Government and each individual State gets from the "Fuel or Road Tax" will have to come from somewhere, and chances are it won't be as it is now with the "Pay as You Go" system that is in place. It will be a set amount that Everyone, including those that don't even have a vehicle, will have to pay no matter what. I for one don't like that. As it is now, we all only pay as much as we can afford, in the form of the amount of fuel we purchase at the gas station pumps. You don't have to come up with that money on a set date or go to jail. You don't have to file any paperwork or hire a tax lawyer to figure it all out. If you don't have the money to pay this "Tax" you simply don't buy fuel.

Or at least charge them Rent, like they charge us..... and force them to wear "Sponsor Hats and Jackets" like they do in NASCAR so we can see who's pulling their strings when it comes time to vote.

Ohio took care of the state gas tax by including a fee at registration. If the car plugs in, it cost an additional $200 dollars. They came up with this number as it is supposed to be the "average" amount the "average" driver has been paying using gasoline per year. The fed was supposed to be testing an ODB2 GPS device that reported how many miles you have driven to be able to tax you in the future. I have a Chevy Bolt EV and I have to admit it's freaking cheap to drive. The money I save buys fuel for my diesels and big blocks. ;)

The agendas will be functioning under a guise. So therefore creating a guise for a need. Creating a guise for getting what they want, ie, Agenda. After a complete and utter change, it will be to late to revert back to a functioning system. Always remember, ask yourself why are they doing this? The country has already been spent into Oblivion! Yeah it's really rough up there when it comes to this stuff as well. Far worse than we've got it down here, but the Hot Rod Scene is still alive and well up there thanks to people like you.

Idaho already has fees in addition to the normal registration fee: $75 for hybrid and $140 for electric. That is regardless of how many miles or days a year one drives. Someone at the state did the same you did on a piece of paper to figure out how to not lose income with electric vehicles. The nice thing about gas tax: one only pays iwhen you fill up. Either way, everyone who registers or fills up in Idaho pays for using Idaho roads. Your example would work in Arizona where EVs and hybrids are much cheaper to register or even free.

Here in England UK we pay a tax on the house we live in and the more people that live in the house the more we pay, and if we have a spare room [empty] we pay an additional tax,, we also pay a annual tax on our vehicle , the bigger the engine the more tax we pay,and if we drive into or near one of our cities we pay a daily tax ; we are also taxed on the fuel that we put in the vehicle, the tax man is a very fat man here, take care over there

That's why I have the utmost respect for all of you. I've seen some extremely neat things from the Hot Rodders in your neck of the woods, and you are doing it with restrictions that would make the experienced builder in the US give up before they even started. When I look into how to get the most out of a 4cyl, hands down I listen very closely to you guys. How to get the most out of a 6cyl, I listen very closely to an Aussie or Kiwi. Because it's all you folks could work with without being Elon & Zuck wealthy. Hang in there my friend and keep your chin up.

How sweet of you to run all these numbers for us! I really do appreciate it, EVEN when I am not at all affected by YOUR taxes. The thing is that the EVs in Norway are still heavily subsidised despite of (I'll just call it: ) 'Ministry of Transport' have lost big numbers on their budgets. For example public transport has been suffering for years! The systems are different from country to country, but the main theme is that the politics are pushing EVs and disrupting economic, practical, safety and I'm sure there's more systems everywhere! Go figure!?

That's why I have the utmost respect for guys like you over there that are keep this hobby and lifestyle alive and well. If the average Hot Rodder in the US seen what you folks over there had to deal with, it would blow their mind. A lot of guys in the US are fascinated with the Cuban Car Scene on how they are able to build their cars without the ability to get parts. I'm fascinated by you guys being able to build your cars without being taxed into the Poor House.

evs are benifiting the city people and not the country people. however there was a time that i was going to find a electric forklift and swap all the electrical and motor into my blue s10, i was going use my off grid solar system to charge it. 25 bucks a month for truck insurance was cheap. i planned on hooking up an inverter so that i could run things in my house doing power outages. also already had plans to hook up old school drive shaft alternator to help charge when i was in motion.

Kind of funny how they shut down LPG and other cheaper options because those things didn't have the "fuel tax", yet these EV's are being pushed upon us and they definitely don't. Is driving a diesel with "red dye" (off road/farm use only because it's not taxed) any different than driving an EV? That mileage collection data they are getting..... every modern vehicle now calculates that information and stores it. If you have built in GPS in your new car, the travel history of that vehicle is stored in a database.... probably for these purposes. Now they are even putting remote kill switches in all vehicles. They say it's to prevent drunk drivers and police chases. My bet is so they can shut you off in the middle of a commute to get that money when they want to get it.

I used ro have an EV until 4 years ago. Fastest accelerating car I ever had and probLy ever wil have. But the math on owning one and the range limitation back then didn't work out for me. I'm sure I will have sorhing EV like again in the future to balance out my other six vehicles that get between 10 and 22 miles per gallon :-) Keep up your videos. Nice ro have a local channel like yours.

Yep, and they hate the "Fuel Tax" because we all can choose how much we can pay. I'll bet they are all itching to throw us a bill that we all have to pay, or else.

Thanks RC and thanks a mill for stopping in man! Yeah I've been in that same boat with ya and I think I get that look and passed over because of the actual part of it. Are EV's actually legal to be driven on public roads? You get outrageous fines for running red dye in your diesel truck. They shut down LPG & NG for same reason, and made it extremely difficult to purchase AVGas for these very reasons. Something just doesn't add up here.... if you get what I mean.
