Thank you for your content! My wife has separated from me 6 months ago. We've had a rocky marriage of some 8 years now where i found jer provoking me and me verbally abusing her periodically, not all the time, just in discussions or arguments! We don't get along but I'm scared of losing her as a lot of good memories have been made! Sad and lovely, want to get away and travel but feel that i need to remain close to her to tty and salvage the marriage! We only meet up each 3-4 weeks at the councillor and are not allowed to contact outside this via text! I'm verbally abusive at times talking to myself about others and how stupid they are but I think my problem is invoked by my current situation with my wife, I'm sad, lonely and scared!

Another amazing video! You explain things so well. Sometimes I wish I would’ve been born in 60’s or 70’s, life seemed more exciting, people were more social. It’s sad that many of us feel very lonely, no wonders why depression and anxiety are on the rise. Thanks for this video David!

The intro bit - I recall seeing a post from some gal about how having a "dream job" is a terrible thought, and that we shouldn't have to work to survive. Survival _is_ work, and she should be glad she has the privilege of a dream job instead of being a chimney sweep at five years old during the great depression.

The consumer world wants us to be that way. If u spent your time learning how to cook, maintain ur own car, walk ur own dog, pick up ur own take away etc. and saved ur money u would be free from the grind in less than 20 years. Not only that u could then dispense with ur mobile phone (which should be renamed mobile consumption enabling device).

Great video. I’ve been thinking about all of this a lot lately. I miss the old days of my life before the internet sucked everyone’s souls out. Sometimes I daydream about what it would really feel like to go back even just 100 years. We probably would have such an overwhelming feeling of fear and excitement.

I was born in 1957! No internet, no mobile phone, no tv at home! I learnt how to make things and to create stories, and much else. I do worry about the phone addiction and what it does to the human development... Do children play outside anymore? Do adults, even? But I enjoy You Tube for this kind of content. Thanks!

If you have a problem with internet, just go to africa, you have to wait for 5 days for connection. Sometimes the elektriciy goes away

I loved this video A LOT! Recently I've been thinking about replacing my smartphone and buying a blackberry or some other "button" mobile for daily use and suddenly your video popped up :D I see a big improvement in your videos, especially in editing! Keep it up!

I know that I spend way too much time on my phone. I am retired and live alone. I have always believed that I have nothing to say ir add to the conversation yet I do sometimes respond to other people’s posts or comments. I love to share other people’s posts but I don’t ever create any original posts myself. There are some really good things on Facebook and KZfaq. But then I spend more time scrolling than actually watching videos or Facebook posts.

I agree with authenticity point. I usually gravitate towards the mundane videos vs the well lit scripted video essays with all the glam effects (nothing wrong with it). It’s just after so much online consumption it becomes too much

At 2:32 you will see a man smiling; the same man, Nathaniel Drew, can be seen in this video "creativity is TOO HARD" from Shaffer Nickel. By sheer coincidence I'd just seen this video so the resemblance caused me to do a double take. After careful analysis I'm confident this is the same man. Not sure what the connection is but sort of weird that a third party is the middle man for these two youtubers. Edit"looked into it, he actually is also a youtuber, big surprise😏, and he's bigger then both of these guys. They all do the same type of content so i guess i shouldn't be surprised they are friends.
