Nariva Swamp Managed Resource Environmentally Sensitive Area is the largest freshwater swamp in Trinidad and Tobago, and contains a myriad of natural assets of flora, fauna and landscape. The Swamp is noted as a Ramsar Site, being recognized as a wetland of international importance. This feature highlights some of those assets and the people who live, work and help to sustain this protected area.

Thank you all for this video. I am so proud of you gentlemen. I wish there would be more backing and financing from the GORTT. Keep the greedy selfish destroyers out ! Enough harm was done in the past. Time for recovery !

This is an excellent piece. The videography is well done. I enjoyed hearing from the people who work in and protect the Nariva Swamp. It was both informative and a striking video. Thank you.

Nariva swamp definitely needed the recognition for what it’s worth, providing so many services to us that we can’t see with the bare eyes, surely a treasure we cannot afford to loose, hats off to you guys for creating this production and excellent work from Rishi Singh, a dedicated officer of the Forestry Division.

@@s.springer4345 There are local tour guides in nearby communities and also tours can be arranged through the Trinidad and Tobago Incoming Tour Operators Association. Schools may write to the Conservator of Forests for educational activities.

Beautiful video, everyone has a heart connection to this place. Hope this video brings awareness to the people that this is such a Special place and it should be respected by humans... For afterall we must give respect to Mother Nature... we are all children of this earth and so we must respect her.

The ministry of agriculture needs to evaluate and upgrade these types of projects in these areas use the assets and resources of our agricultural divisions in a positive way ,we can also use our props in a more cultural diversify way ,thanks TnT.

I passed there many times enroute to Mayaro I even camped out at the river mouth once but I've never toured the swamp, being so close to it I intend to.
