@@forthe3136 - "Underrated" has pretty much lost its original meaning at this point; people now just use that word as a substitute for "cool". That fight is indeed one of the most highly rated fights in Naruto, alongside Rock Lee vs Gaara, Naruto vs Pain, Itachi vs Sasuke and the other classics...

i think this didn't really change until the war so you can just say up to the war lol or just say Hebi/Taka Sasuke since he pretty much ditches them in the war

You would enjoy jujutsu kaisen. Almost all the fights are like this. Particularly insane in the second half of the manga. This has always been my favorite fight in Shippuden and now that I'm thinking about it it makes perfect sense why I love JJK so much. The fights are all incredibly high IQ but they're not over explained with walls of text like Hunter x Hunter tends to do.

It least in Naruto i think there were a lot more fights like this one, Jiraiya vs Pein, Sasuke vs Itachi, kakashi vs Pein, most of Shikamaru, etc...

Fr that just goes to show how dedicated deidara is. Talent also plays a huge part, but forcing your pupil to dilate in order to avoid getting caught in ocular genjutsu would take so much effort and discipline, not to mention even being able to come to the conclusion that it would work, which it seems nobody else in the series had ever considered. Stuff like that is what makes him one of my favorite characters

Yeah. A side character that has more brilliance, more aesthetically pleasing fighting moves, cooler costumes than the protagonist himself and like cherry on top, he looks great. It is obvious people who align with some of Naruto's qualities in real life are gonna hate Sasuke like anything.

Like my favourite character is Sasuke, but somehow I admired Rock Lee more than anyone Sasuke himself. The boy represented the ordinary people like you and me inside an anime(Pure physical prowess instead of magical jutsus). I just wasn't able to hate Rock Lee when he beat the shit outta Sasuke. I actually felt depressed and hated when they showed Sasuke managed to attain Rock Lee's speed in a month.

Sasuke had "undeserved" popularity and just seemed like a dick (but to be fair Naruto was a bigger one who constantly started shit) Sasuke actually hated the attention. Personally i think you can still take almost all the stuff in the war minus Jyuubi stuff and still make it work the same way if you limit it greatly. Like full body Susanoo could have been a one time use. Making these things last resorts like C0 makes a lot more sense and keeps roughly the same scale. idk i like the war arc stuff cause its cool but i also think i would have liked this more so idk. i think Kishi should rewrite Shippuden personally, he could start by making Sakura not lose the relevance she had in the Sasori fight for instance lol

Excellent point. We really see Sasuke losing it with the Danzo fight, like a nose dive of his mental health and it is a far cry from his cool and collected fights earlier. He does seem suicidal... I guess that's what happens when you think you achieved your life goal that you've been tortured over for years only to learn you really knew absolutely nothing at all. Tragic character for sure.

Yeah I contrast it with this being one of the best fights in the series to Sasuke vs Danzo being one of the worst, Sasuke and Danzo actually have cool jutsus but then the fight just comes down to spamming Sharingan abilities

They're very similar. In both Sasuke faced an opponent who used an ability he never seen nor heard of before. He analysed them, deduced their ability, formed a strategy and successfully did it to achieve victory. Both had Tobi watching from the sidelines narrating, genjutsu trickery, back & forth tactics one-upping each other, with Sasuke being revealed to have been "one step" ahead, & purposefully taking damage in order to land a hit. Naturally his demeanour was different. Danzo was the mastermind of the Uchiha massacre. The guy who manipulated his brother to commit genocide then live the rest of his life as a hated villian. Whereas Deidara was just some Akatsuki goon picking a fight.

Tbf it kinda felt that way in a lot of instances. Sasuke seemingly had a way to just FU out of every single thing Deidara had with damn near no effort at all. And fighting things out that even Shikamaru would struggle with in a single glance seems ludicrous. And the final explosion, how is it he had setup a reverse summon for Manda when he hadn't even fount Itachi yet? Like, for what??? How on earth would he know he would need that at THAT moment? And being able to summon one of the strongest and largest summons in the series, hypnotize it, and use him as a meat shield in like a 10th of a second? That honestly feels like bullsh*t to almost anyone viewing it. And I like Sasuke a lot but even I have to call bull on that one fam lol

That fight was BS. Counter measures with Manda before the fight. Also "deactivating" the bombs was such BS explanation.

@@grandempress1947 You know there's this funny thing called prepping. It sounds absurd that Batman has defeated Superman but that's the kind of result you can achieve when you stay ahead of the game. Those are more larger scale incidents, even during fights Sasuke is prepping his attacks (re-watch the video). The endgame was foreshadowed in the opening (Sasuke using a snake to tank Deidara's bomb) and the fact that Suigetsu could summon Manda all points to this being a backup plan. Now I wonder if Itachi was the one to run into Sasuke instead of Deidara, would you still cry BS? If he was anticipating meeting Itachi soon, he would've prepared earlier than that expectation. Sasuke didn't even know Deidara was coming for him. Bro picked a fight against his natural enemy, lost, got salty after realizing it and took another L. Regarding the final explosion-- you should be more upset that it happened in the first place. Deidara admitted he was out of chakra yet produced an explosion that rivals a tailed-beast bomb with little to no credibility as say, summoning a creature whose existence & durability was previously established.

I don’t think he forgot. Hiding like a mole is a earth style jutsu kakashi uses frequently, and diedera used to get away from team guy and kakashi. Naruto literally dug underground without a jutsu. That’s why his nails where all bloody
