Learn the history of Black Sabbath in 5 minutes!
Check out my merch at: streamlabs.com/belgianjasper/...
Black Sabbath are widely accepted as the first true Heavy Metal band. The Godfathers of Metal started in the late 60's in Birmingham UK, and roughly 50 years later, they ended their career in that same town!
If you don't really know who Black Sabbath were, or what their story is, it's time you take this crash course!
This was the first video I created a few weeks ago as I was planning my channel. It's a little DIY ;)

Great job. The only thing that I would add is a brief moment of Dave Walker as the lead singer of the band in 1978. Ozzy left Black Sabbath for a while, so they recorded "Junior's Eyes" with Walker.

In my opinion the Tony Martin era is so underrated and is almost completely forgotten. I would go as far to say that Tony Martin era is better than Ozzy era. Forbidden is a pretty good album imo and would definitely battle against technical ecstacy.

It was definitely a s-show after Dio was fired the first time. I have listened to Black Sabbath before and imho I prefer Ozzy over Dio because it just doesn't sound right without Ozzy. My favorite Dio is when he is the lead singer for the band Dio.
@BelgianJasper

That's a fair point, I think most people agree Sabbath needs Ozzy to sound like Sabbath. That being said, imho heaven and Hell is one of the greatest albums of all time.

Nice video! Idk about Dio Sabbath being better than Ozzy sabbath. It doesn’t really have anything to do with Ozzy himself, Dio totally dominates him as a singer in every way, it’s just more I prefer the overall sound of those early records.

I think that metal heads would like Dio's era better cause it sounds more like all the metal bands from the 80's onwards etc... but if you're a fan of good music and specially rock and roll in general , Ozzy's Sabbath is infinitely better, unique, creative etc... the band evolved and changed way more during Ozzy's era as well, so it's definitely more interesting and revolutionary to music and history, I gotta admit that even liking the uniqueness of Ozzy's voice better than Dio and the way he was giving it all specially at albums like sbs and sabotage, Dio's voice is just phenomenal and specially in terms of range puts Ozzy's voice to shame, but I'd still take Ozzy's any day his personality just pours through the speakers in a way that makes Dio sound like a The Voice singer with a fantastic voice, but just not as unique...
@BelgianJasper
@BelgianJasper Жыл бұрын
I may find it hard to agree with a lack of uniqueness in Dio's voice ;) but I get where you're coming from, and Ozzy's voice is just so different! And Ozzy was the first... then again Heaven and Hell remains one of the greatest songs of all time! :)
@cinemacrema2349

@@BelgianJasper oh yeah don't get me wrong Dio's fantastic... Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are amazing albums, I just can't resist how Ozzy delivers in songs like The Writ for example, if it was Dio it would sound so easy for him, Idk how to explain they're both powerful in such different ways ... I can't imagine either singing each other songs and being as good as each one of them were for the Sabbath era they represent, like I said Ozzy's era the range and evolution of the band album after album is just so cool to listen to all albums and hear their evolution from like BS to Sabotage specially when you consider Ozzy's vocal range... where's Dio sounds like a God from his first line in Neon Knights hahaha

Everybody has their own opinion ☺️ I would say that Dio's Heaven and Hell is one of the best Metal albums of all time 👊 With Ozzy, Sabbath was more Psychedelic & Doom, with Dio more straightforward Heavy Metal. But like I said: you don't have to agree 😉🤘
