The NES version of the Captain America game is more like the first NES TMNT game where its non linear and you had an overworld map to select where you want to go and to be honest it plays way better than the arcade game, Cap's shield is up at all times and can auto deflect gunfire, he can use it to float on top of water surface, anf aside from throwing the shield, he can also perform the "charging star" move Whereas Hawkeye can spam exploding arrows for an easier but less complex gameplay style Oh and it has a VS modr where you can play as bosses too, Ultron, Crossbones, and one more that i forgot, and they are amazing to play as, Ultron is basically what Iron Man would probably play like in the game, energy blast and free flight ability

@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries Even more odd is that the Sega Spider-man game you talked about had Namor and Hawkeye in them. Never thought they made too much sense in a Spider-man game to begin with.
@Paulafan54 жыл бұрын
@@davejohn3600 I think the licensing agreements would have exclusive usage of big name characters, but the secondary ones were not exclusive. Spider-man and Hulk were prime characters, but Hawkeye and Namor? They wouldn't sell any more units if they were in a game or not. Odd about Thor, though. Perhaps there were plans for a Thor game but it never happened.

I would love for someone to mod this game to fix Vision's colour and add Thor, Black Panther, and maybe Scarlet Witch (but then it'd need a new "No!" and "I can't lose!" and would make "You stupid men" not fully work, but I think it'd be worth it).

Fix his color? He's suppose to be white
@Mitsuraga2 жыл бұрын
During the time when this game was made, sure. But most people (pre-WandaVision) are unfamiliar with it, and I've never met anyone who actually prefers it to his original colour scheme.

@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries Thanks, I'm trying to catch up. Just subbed a few days ago. I think it would be really cool if you added game bgm from the chosen arcade under your narration. Play it around 15-20% volume to avoid detection.

I was in the exact same boat. I loved the arcade game and the Genesis port was great, so I figured the SNES one would be better. Boy was I wrong. What a piece of excrement. It even has bugged controls, where going in diagonal directions doesn't work the way it should. Similar to the situation with Pit Fighter, the Genesis version outdoes the SNES version in almost every way.

Pit fighter is another excellent example. Smaller cartridge size made for terrible conversion
