You forgot to mention that back in the day, we had that clan members that leave the clan, join in the enemy's during war, and printed the bases with traps and teslas not hidden, that was unfair af

@@Unwittness I was going to say, I haven't seen this in a long time. I didn't mind this one. Kind of saw it like real war and gathering intel. If we let someone in that was our fault. If we happened to be able to get someone in than cool. I feel like there was a lot more chatting with each other back in those times that I just don't see now

Clash of clans is one of the least cheatable game which is a big thing as there are not many cheaters at current day in clash of clans which is a good thing

Fun fact. A lot of modders still exists right now but they "stop" modding and you can see some of them in top War clans but they are "recognize" as fair play and admired by everyone. Only veterans know the full story. We must be proud of the past, it has forged the actual present

I still remember when during clan wars people try to join the enemy clan as a spy to see traps etc, also during clan wars clans always remember to closed their clan during wars

sadly, you didn't mention the X-Mod. it was a tool for Android that had many functions and it required rooting. i don't know how popular it was, but in 2016 me and my friends used it. You could set a certain amount of resources and have an auto-scroll in matchmaking that notified when a base with ur settings was found. you could practice attacking in CW, which meant you could use any troops to practice and attack you enemy's warbase specifically. there was a setting which allowed you to see all traps and teslas in matchmaking and CW, so it was very useful. this is all features i can remember, but there are certainly more. also worth mentioning that all of us except 1 friend got perma banned for it in few months xD what a fun times

practicing attacking is about to be not a private server or dev only feature. Its about to be everyone (friendly challenge does not coint because you have to ask someone to challenge in clan chat or literally do an entire other account to the same level)

1. Xmodding 2. Hunting/spying in wars 3. After banning players who used xmod mod for a short period time you could “practice” by going on airplane mode after starting an attack.

Hunt/spying is not a cheat. Simply take advantage of a flow in security in the enemy clan who accepts new members after war match-up

Its possible to get hacked gems, but you'd need to actually mess with supercell servers, which is actually a criminal offense. You can't go to jail for hacking clientside but you can for hacking serverside

You didnt explain how the mod/bot worked at the highest lvl. CoC used to be so much harder back in the day. QC Lalo was pretty much the only atk that worked. Modding let u practice on your enemy war base over and over again until got the perfect atk. The bot let you replicate that atk in war precisely

Some pepole may think "how do you cheat in 2012 with hacks?" If you could jailbreak you could make/install an 3rd party client for gems (i don't reccomend doing this,supercell pls don't ban me)

Well it is not "impossible" to get hacked gems but the effort required for such a task would be more expensive than actually buying a lot of gems, the amount of effort would heavily depend on how safe are Supercell servers. And if a hacker has the capability of hacking such authenticated accounts, I bet you he will not be wasting his time on a mobile game AT ALL.

engineered bases werent cheating tho, it was a legitimate way to play the game, supercell removed the ability to engineer because they were terrorizing clan wars, and it wasn't the intended way to play the game, but it was not against the rules

eh how is losing a battle, supposed to give opponent free shield? You got a shield for destroying the townhall”winning” or if you got 50% Unless i forgot about 40% no stars also gives you shield apparently? I thought that type of cheats was giving opponent free trophies and not shield…
