Honestly, it doesn't matter how much Steve and Alex's look changed. They have their legendary stories in the past, being one of the most iconic parts of Minecraft. A real OG.

I think something that makes Alex more iconic than these new skins is that when they were added to the game, we got a new player model. If these new default skins came with new models, they'd interest the player base more.

At least now, Alex and Steve won't canonically be alone in their world.

I remember on one occasion late at night I said "this character creator makes me want to swear violently" while trying to create an animal in Bedrocks character creator. this is before I found the "Import" button. I appreciate that they wanted the customization for everyone, but I'm MORE glad they added an import button that doesn't cost money.

To make the community more connected with these skins, Zombies should have Variants that look similar to the new skins. Since we did get an Vex redesign to be more modern changing the Zombie wouldnt hurt. And if you refuse to do that because of Nostalgia or something just make the default Steve Zombie design appear more often than the other skins.

Great video! I like all the new skins, and it’s cool seeing Steve and Alex get new friends! Steve and Alex are always going to be my favorites! (especially Steve, I started Minecraft in 2011 so maybe that’s why I like him the most, though I also think he’s really cool) I think Sunny is my favorite from the new ones, I also wear prosthetics (although for my legs) and my favorite color is green. My 2nd favorite color is blue, and so it’s kinda cool seeing Steve, Alex, and Sunny side by side; Steve is blue, Alex is green, and Sunny has both colors.

hey, the history of Minecraft skins is not bad at all, nice story, although what caught my attention the most is that the skins that we wear in Minecraft bedrock are masks that Steve wears

The new skins atleast in my opinion weren't needed but are a neat edition to the game! it'll def take a WHILE for people to get used to them or even see them ingame (still haven't encountered a player that uses them) though I think they could fit in with Alex and Steve

I'd be very curious to see if they ever "officially" (as in available on Bedrock AND Java) expand on the available Models, such as the Height Customization you can get in the Bedrock Character Creator. Alternate Torso, Leg, and even Head sizes could all be cool to see. (maybe more Arm sizes as well, would be fun to look like a Skeleton or some such thing)

Great job, everyone at mojang, though please update the GUI, it's pretty outdated and doesn't fit the newer post-1.14 style imo.

In the end, on the opposite side of Alex which added a new "body type". Those skins are just new default that nobody will use, because why would you go out of your way to change your skin, but not all the way to find your own on internet ?

As a skin creator, these skins are cute but i doubt that a lot of people are going to use them… especially in java. There‘s just no need to use default skins when I can make a skin that i find better (subjectively)

I love my custom skin. I also really love the new default options! When I talk to the kids in the before and after program at school they LOVE minecraft and I know they use default skins. I'm glad more of them will be able to see themselves in game without having to customize. Diversity is amazing and this is a great update! Thank you for giving that to the kiddos.

It's fantastic that Mojang has added new skins to the game and allows players to make their own. However, I still don't know if Steve has a mustache or a beard.

If a kid can feel identficated with a transformer, why not with Steve even if he hasn't the same skin tone?

I do appreciate the new variety of skins to help include and diversify the default skins available,. However, one of the biggest things that Alex brought when she was first introduced was a new "body type'/variant. while not much, it did give the players an option to use when choosing how to express themselves when making their own skins. A missed opportunity is that each new default skin would bring up a new body type variant. whether it be skinnier legs, thicker body, or making the model shorter or taller. This would allow even more diversity and would still give the player models a way to still be used even if the player decides to make their own skin. Regardless, this is a welcomed addition and is nicely intended.
