Here is my pitch for a Marvel Studios Night Thrasher mini series on Disney+ Could be 6, 8, 9 episodes this is the MCU version of Night Thrasher and a possible spin-off series starring MCU New Warriors let’s start with the topic Dwayne Taylor aka Night Thrasher is Marvel’s Batman if you read his original story the similarities are there you could base the story arcs on Family Ties and Role Models and that is the Night Thrasher, let’s New Warriors be MCU’s version of DC’s Titans on HBO Max but it a lot better. I really want to hear your thoughts

I know people say that Moon Knight is Marvel's Batman, but come on it's clearly Night Thrasher. 1. His parents were killed in front of him as a child. 2. He spent his life training to wage a war on crime. 3. He's rich and uses his money on his war on crime. 4. He's brooding and not afraid to use violence. I can just see him in a movie or TV show saying, "I'm Night Thrasher."

I don't support the Moon Knight comparison either. Comparing Moon Knight to Batman just because one of his personalities is rich and Moon Knight uses gadgets is too easy. People also like to compare Batman and Iron Man, because both Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark are rich. Batman and Iron Man have nothing in common. Also, Bruce Wayne was never an alcoholic.

Thrasher is also highly intelligent and is good with prep-time and also later adopts his own ward after their grandmother gets murdered (another member of the New Warriors called Rage and who was a 13 year old kid in the body of an adult). One big difference between Thrasher and Batman however is that Batman maintains a reputation of being a scary individual and a lot of people are legit afraid of him whereas with Night Thrasher people tend to dismiss and ridicule him because he has a skateboard. Of course Night Thrasher doesn't care about what others think of him and people often underestimate his abilities because they don't take him seriously. I mean Maestro and the Collector had to take him out of the Contest of Champions tournament because he wasn't playing their game and was close to dismantling their whole tournament and defeating them.

It was supposed to be a show, but it’s been shelved since they couldn’t find a Network to air it on at that time.

Yea it got canceled. It would be hard to do that series, bc most of the members aren't anything new, escept maybe Speedball or Nova, but Nova is coming in the next GotG movie.

I've liked Night Thrasher since I first encountered the character in the first issue of the original New Warriors. I forgot how convoluted his backstory is. Still, he's a good character when his costume is designed correctly.

they should make it so silliouette can use her legs when using the dark force but it drains physical energy to do so so she isn't always peraplegic and can keep her muslces fit enough to stabnd and fight using the magic to give her top noth shape.. When she walks the long crutches can turn to nightsticks/batons. And they should make it that the suits were being made before the incident and when the incident happened they no longer wanted to wear the suits - so he had them stashed!!!

Thanks for the video, sir. I am writing a crossover project and decided to make DC's Red X an alternate identity for Night Thrasher, but did not think it might work. Watching this, I found a way to do so. As you might discern from my name, I am not as versed in Marvel as you. I am very thankful for your videos as it has made me appreciate Marvel lore a lot more.

Even though I disliked their take on Nova (I had followed his original series and this never felt like him to me) and not a fan of the art (except in their Thor 1st appearance) but Nightthrasher felt like one of the few new (post early 80's) heroes to seem good to me. Him and Darkhawk I thought were on their way to being right up their with top 2nd tier heroes like Punisher, Falcon, Nova (in his original run), etc.

I did enjoy the new warriors, but yeah both thrasher and hawk seemed like break out stars. I remember seeing them together for the first time in a spiderman story (along with moon knight and punisher) and it convinced me to start picking up their books. I only think the characters fell off because they failed to create memorable villains. Their villains fell victim to Image style designs that were popular then, but mostly are now kind of generic and not memorable.

It kinda is night thrasher's fault for silhouette's crippling, the fact that he stopped her brother shows that he didn't trust him as a partner. Like he could of changed his aim to disarm the officer instead of killing him like merry said. But thrasher had to get involved because he didn't trust his partner to do the right thing.

That's a good question. Personally, my money is on Night Thrasher. While Ironheart's suit is more advanced and she's more intelligent, Night Thrasher has far more experience and combat skill.

Night Thrasher is COOL. He, Speedball and Silhouette have always been my favorite New Warriors. Also, unlike today's Marvel Comics, Dwayne and Silhouette's stories never evolved around their melanine levels or "muh raycizm." But then again they were too busy to actually make a difference.

Silhouette's biological father is Andrew Chord but she never knew him growing up. Night Thrasher's father was Daryl Taylor but after his parents were killed, Andrew Chord became his legal guardian and raised him.

Did you know that in my marvel universe series show the catalytic events that lead to Civil War goes pretty much the same until the point where Nitro runs away and Speedball together with Night Trasher pursue him for a while before Night Trasher tackles Nitro into a buss but just like in the comics Nitro would cause a massive explosion. Night Trasher was killed while Speedball’s powers allowed him and while Justice managed to save the New Warriors’ life by creating a force field it did knock them all into comas and hospitalizing them for the majority of Civil War. Speedball ended up being the only one of the New Warriors left and therefore goes through with Civil War. However Night Trasher’s death would later be “retconned” so it’s revealed that it had been a skrull imposter that had blown up.
