I remember that too. It was after warlock was killed and then emerged from the soul stone to turn thanos into stone.

Rick Jones seems to pop up everywhere. Video would probably be longer than Wolverine's if you talk about all the heroes Rick was aligned with. Still would love to know a more of his story if you could do that

Rick Jones is everywhere. How cool would it be if they used him as a plot device to explain why the FF and mutants don't exist in the MCU? Such a pivotal character for a long time after all.

I believe the one true reference to Rick Jones in the MCU is in a military dossier seen during The Incredible Hulk’s opening credits.

In Drax, & Thanos' 1st appearance in Iron Man's comic, it seemed to me Drax creator Jim Starlin intended him as Thanos' main foe ( if not Thanos as HIS?). But Drax never got his own book, and when Starlin wrote another hero's book (Marr-Vell, Warlock, Silver Surfer, etc.) he used Thanos, and Drax got pushed aside or out of the picture entirely. That unfortunately became the pattern for Drax, & he started getting killed and diminished. Now in the MCU he's just there to say unintentionally funny lines. Big comedown for a guy who once had the potential to be a cosmic champion and the power to match some of comic's toughest.

Calling Drax, the Destroyer is BIG COSMIC JOKE from the moment he comforted Thanos!! The best fight between those 2 was the 1 nobody saw! Since his 2nd Resurrection , he's an all powerful class 100 ton 💪Brute 💪!! Since then Marvel Comics watered this character down so much, he's Not much of threat to even Nebula , Starfox nor Mentor much less Thanos, who's gotten even more Powerful since he lost The Infinity Gauntlet

Man. Read the comics. He get exponentially stronger when he's in close proximity to thanos. He was literally made to destroy thanos, he gets nerfed when he's away from thanos. Also, he's dumb as shit.

@@andyfiggz7890 Drax getting stronger when around Thanos & he still can't kill him!! Coronos is suppose to be a space god ,yet, he can't create a being powerful enough to kill his grandson, Thanos. Furthermore after Drax's 2nd Resurrection the poor fella is nearly retarded & Coronos ( a very powerful being in the Marvel Universe) can't restore his mental condition until he's become weaker!! I thing Coronos doesn't want to TRULY hurt his grandson 😢

@@andyfiggz7890 not really he fought both hulk and Thor to stalemates(drax did have the power stone when he and mad Thor fought) yes he was dumb but as far as physical might the silver surfer couldn't even hurt him and his strength was unlimited without the power stone. I have seen dumb Drax overpowered by another character only one or two times. Dumb Drax was a very formidable opponent! Don't underestimate him. And he did manage to kill Thanos! Ripped his heart out! Soo.

💯💯 I grew up reading this story arc. I'm still baffled as to why Disney chose the Carol Danvers version instead of the Mar-Vell version that included these amazing characters and stories. What a waste imo.

Always thought Drax was really cool- originally. Wasn't much of a fan of the 'brain dead' rebirth in Infinity War and hated the Riddicking up they did later. But I do like him in the movies. So, I suggest they split the character. Drax, alien dude, family killed by Ronan and Drax the Destoryer, space zombie out to kill all evil!

Since Dave Bautista has said the next movie will be his last interpretation of the character, I hope Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 gives Drax the perfect outing, showing how Drax was before he was turned into a big nerffed moron, how he used to be a really powerful and intimidating warrior that probably has a lot of enemies after him, have him find out his daughter was saved by an eternal and raised to become Moondragon, let the third movie be his final battle to save his daughter before he meets her mother in the afterlife

I remember Drax's first appearance with Iron Man. Later, he and the Infinity Watch made a good team. I kinda miss ol' dummy Drax. I lost track of him after that so thanks for filling me in. I had no clue what was going on when he turned up in the MCU with a new look and less powerful.

1st off, it wasn't Captain Marvel who turned Thanos into stone...it was Adam Warlock's soul who came back from soul world ( Thanos killed him earlier) released by Spider-Man

Really! I liked Drax in the comix, and Ray Batista' performance makes him likable enough; but otherwise he brings absolutely nothing constructive to the MCU Guardians. I don't remember much if any particularly decisive shows of strength from him. Originally Groot, and now Thor being the group's muscle. Gamora (also a better tone of green) and Nebula seem much more skilled fighters. Star Lord is the flyer, and he & Rocket (the brains of the group) are the shooters. Mantis has mental powers. Drax is just ... there... saying something unintentionally funny.

I would love to see a shehulk episode where she sues the NFL to let Drax the destroyer play football like in the comic books because their discriminating against him from being an alien or something. IDK, that origin was so dumb it made me question humanity

Drax ends up really returning say on Asgard 400 years ago and he has no means to remember how got there he meets a young man a blond man he looks like someone Drax knows but no memories yet he see's a bright star a vision of something huge he suddenly hits the man who throws a ball of lightning at him Drax suddenly realises who this person is " Thor" he crys then thunder a flash of white light a older man appears then Drax gently says "Odin?" then a cloud of green appears a face in it? Drax finds out a big set of secrets in this time which reveal a dark plan one that spells trouble for the future and his origin and a lie about his death and rebirth one the universe has kept secret of which is connected to another Destroyer during the second world war and curse and mysterious reasons for his life? Drax The Destroyer: Chronus Curse and the children of the stars?

So Drax is as pointless in the comics as he is in the movies? Has an origin making him have one purpose, to kill Thanos, but then for the most part he is never responsible for causing Thanos to die. Only in the comics hes actually very strong and not just a wrestler with knives.

I always thought he was initially meant to be Thanos' primary foe ( or maybe Thanos to be his), based on their 1st appearance. But he never got his own book, becoming a side character at best.
