Honestly, Stellar disbanding was probably to me one of the few times I wanted a group to disband. They were treated sooooo bad under their label. I also want to know why Eric left cause,though I’m not placing all blame on him, I do give him some blame for leaving cause after seeing the trajectory that the group went in wasn’t great. It also should say something about the public and how fickle they are. They bashed them for doing a sexy concept but as soon as they did an innocent/cute one, it goes unnoticed. To think they go to clubs and smoke just cause of that concept is just disgusting and awful

I agree. Stellar is the ONE group that comes to mind where the more you hear about their story, the more you realize that their disbandment was needed for the mental well-being on the girls. And though there's stuff that we don't know, Eric did essentially leave them to the wolves. Hopefully he made amends with the girls behind the scenes.

I 100% agree with being happy that they disbanded but I don’t blame Eric, the company was very bold/didn’t care about stellar at all, and it kinda seems like they would’ve done what they did to stellar whether Eric was there or not. Eric was also active in the industry then. So of course he needed time to focus on himself, and his own career. It probably would’ve been tiring and conflicts with the company probably would’ve arose about scheduling and/or other stuff.

The girls are such good people and didn’t deserve to be exploited by their company. I am glad that they are in the process of healing. I will be supporting the members in what they are currently doing. They deserve support!

Stellar calling out the Kpop industry is so amazing they used there songs to tell their story and expose the big problems in the industry. Their so correct a group from a small company can literally put out the song of the year but a big company artist can release recycled trash and steal the title because people can’t just judge for the music quality. So sorry for these talented queens hope they find happiness in their feature.

Marionette and Vibrato were absolutely amazing and I remember how much hate they got and it made me upset. I always thought it was a classy sexy and you could tell how badly they were being s*xualized and the members had no say. I hate how they were treated. 🙁

I LOVED stellar and always felt bad for supporting their company but also felt bad if i didnt support them you know what i mean?? I loved all their music. And i feel bad for how much gayoung was clearly traumatized. She dont go anywhere without a long skirt etc cuz of how sexualized she was

Stellar was a good group and all its members had real talent so it's nice to see a video focus on the history, goals, and aspirations outside of the controversies that dogged the group from the Marionite Comeback to the group's disbandment. I really wish UFO had gotten more love as a single as I think it would have gained a fanbase eventually. In short Stellar had good songs but the label decided to go for the easy money by overusing the overly sexual concepts. Also, interesting side note Stellar is actually my number three most listened to artists for the month of June 2021 on Spotify. I'd also single out Insomnia as a track by Stellar worth checking out as a sort of deep cut but worth listening to.

I never see people saying this but I have to say it: I think it was quite irresponsible of Eric to basically drop them when all of the girls were recruited into the company because of him. Sure, he wanted to "focus on his career", but Shinwa are legends and he was already an established artist, so I don't understand the rush. Both the company and him made sure the group's image depended on him, he produced and pick music and concepts and probably the lineup itself, they were called "Eric's" group", they were told to mention him on every interview, their album sales came mostly from his fans. Eric and the company probably fell off, he didn't renew his contract and in the end it was the Stellar girls who suffered.

Eric is also an actor, and he had stuff happen when Marionette dropped. I solely blame their agency. They shouldn't have depended on Eric and his clout. The girls were talented. They just needed better producers. Really sad that the agency resorted to sex appeal. :|

This is disgusting why did yall go this route!?!? I adored Stellar since Marionette, I wanted them to find success but hated their company. I'm glad they disbanded because unlike what a lot of fans believe to be mistreatment of their kpop idols... STELLAR had REAL mistreatment! Mask, Crying, Archangels of Sephiroth and Sting will always be my favourites from them.

Stellar and Rania actually had more in common than just Youngheun for a member. Both did sexy concept (but for Rania it was from the beginning), both had lineup changes (Rania is No. 1 of all groups in this category) and just as Stellar was "Eric's group", Rania was "Teddy's group"

That's the thing, though. Rania WASN'T Teddy's group. He had very little to do with the group. It was the company that marketed them as "Teddy Riley's group" and "Teddy Riley's Expansion into Asia". They used his very famous name to gain attention without his consent and it caused him to end business with DR and work with SM instead. DR is just a terrible company.

I also want to make it clear that the Teddy that was once associated with DR MUSIC, Blackswan's company, was Teddy Riley -- American record producer responsible for Blackstreet, the invention of New Jack, and songwriter for Michael Jackson, Mase, Mary J. Blige and many other 90's R&B and Hip Hop artists as well as some kpop idols such as Girl's Generation. Not to be confused with Teddy Park who is the co-founder of YG's The Black Label and songwriter for BlackPink, 2NE1, and others.

The "We're really innocent" comment really got to me because a group's concept can sometimes keep the GP from seeing the members real personalities. 😢 Dreamcatcher has a rock/horror concept and I know that it's an automatic no for much of SK's GP but they're one of the sweetest, funniest groups in K-Pop. I suspect that one of the reasons DC is doing a reality show is to reach people who wouldn't normally give them the time of day. There have been so many really talented groups that have disbanded because of the sexy concept that I don't know why companies even try it anymore. There are adjacent concepts, like girl crush or dark elegance, that are safer and more profitable these days.

I like how the public felt “so bad” for the girls when they only responded to the concepts that were forced on Stellar. Screw the public. They didn’t give a damn. They worked so hard, and now are forever traumatized by what that company made them do by always threatening them with their contractual obligations. Their other songs were bops too, but no one cared. Gayoung only wears super conservative clothing now because she doesn’t want the public to see her as sexy/slutty/*bad*, and Joenyul can’t drink white milk ever again because it makes her physically ill to think about that video and it’s allusion to “a certain act.” I’m so sad for them. Honestly.

Marionette and especially vibrato are really good songs, and I think if the company wasnt so skeevy they could have reached a balance of sexy and member comfort. Sting was such a good album, and i really thought they had hit that balance, but it all went downhill :(

stellar was one of my ult fave girl groups, after they came back with marionette. but i did know about them for longer because they did a video thing with teen top once, because both groups were produced by shinhwa members. it wasn't the sexy concept that drew me in, but because marionette was a BANGER. and to dance like that in HEELS? and i saw the video where the sound tech messed up and hyoeun and minhee were effortlessly hitting the notes live, and they kept on going. so i've been a fan for awhile, so i was also definitely there when they released archangels of the sephiroth and fans did a petition not to support stellar financially in any way. we were like do NOT buy the album because the members want out. like, can you imagine? telling people NOT to buy your fave group's album because you feel so sorry for them, you just want them to be free from this hell hole.

One of my first and fave stellar songs is sting, I feel like that was a perfect execution of the sexy concept they were comfortable with, could grab the public attention, and their company should have started with something years ago.

I hate that they had to do Marionette, but I love that song. It was so great. The video shouldn’t have had all that nasty shit, including the milk scene and the butt rubbing (wtf was that?). However, how did they not go viral for that super professional and awesome a cappella performance? Most groups from the big three would not have continued like that. That’s showed true style, poise, professionalism, and I have no clue as to why they did not get super famous for it. Society really sucks sometimes Sex sells, huh? 😢

stellar was so talented and it saddens me to see that many of the general public saw them as nothing more than sexual objects. Female kpop idols should never have to go through the trauma that female idols that arent from the big three have to go through to become successful or relevant. This just shows how much work needs to be made to progress for Korea as a society to look as women as more than just sexual objects. So much talent is being looked over and ignored just on that

I dont think theirs is a story of the company's treatment of them like many think. I think its a story of the way the public treats them. Many people that weren't even fans were making demands of their music style and dress. The company and the girls were trying to cater to the public but didn't get results when they did. It was proof that these people weren't fans. They were just people that want kpop groups to fit their standards at all times. They arent going to buy the music or even watch it but still expect the idols to comply with their demands. It was clear that their legit fans liked their sexy look. That's what they needed to do. I actually got back and get to know Stellar because of Youngheun and what Gayoung said in Miss Back. For sure I’m deeply sorry for them, but it also did remind me that Rania/Blackswan have similar experiences. It’s just sad to see such talented and beautiful people being criticized for something else or things that are deemed harmless in other countries

stellar came to Brazil to promote in my early years as a kpop stan. I have this vivid memory of a very famous Brazilian youtuber interviewing the members, asking them about the meaning of their MVs and the members telling him it wasn't sexual and looking very uncomfortable about it.

I honestly think the group found their perfect concept with crying, slightly sexy but cheerful and cute. on the other hand i cannot watch the mv for sting, its super uncomfortable. I actually like marionette and vibrato but I completely understand why they were uncomfortable. im not entirely surprised their early videos didnt catch on because rocket girl and ufo were kinda terrible and way too autotuned but i absolutely loved study and I'm sad mask never got recognition because it was an amazing song with a really pretty mv. I was really sad when they disbanded but I can't blame them at all for wanting to disband. sorry this is so rambley and doesnt flow well, I wanted to express my opinion on most of their discography.

They really deserved better. They were great performers, singers, dancers, all of it. I wonder why nothing stuck. They had such catchy songs too…catchier than some popular groups I shall not name. They can also sing and dance live, as they proved when they sang “Marionette” a cappella unlike some popular groups that can’t sing live when they’re standing still after a music show win. Hmmm…I wonder who I’m talking about…

The marionette choreography makes me so incredibly uncomfortable to this day. I don't know what the choreographer was thinking. You can generally get away with either very sexy outfits _or_ very sexy choreo. A mix of both is also possible, but it has to be correctly distributed. _(If that makes sense.)_ In my mind, properly balanced concepts look something like this: The horizontal line continuing on each side until the "|" vertical line represents how much or how strong the outfits are versus the choreo. And it usually works out as long as they are balanced, like any of the possibilities shown. If the outfits are very sexy then the choreo can't be overdone, and vice versa. As long as they balance each other out _(relatively, of course some concepts work well despite not being balanced. But that's a unqiue exception, not the rule)._ 1.) People reacted badly because it was way over the top. I like sexy concepts, but there are a lot of scenes that are gross, and some choreography and outfits that went too far. And a lot of people did like it, they only time Stellar did well was when they had sexy concepts.

10:48 I understand that English is your second language, so you might not be familiar with the connotations of all English words, but you really need to be less aggressive with all the words you're bleeping out. It's gotten to the point where you're now randomly bleeping and censoring words that are not in any way problematic in English. The word "lingerie" is not profanity. The word "sex" is not profanity. The word "thong" is not profanity. They don't need to be censored. They're routinely used in normal conversations by English speakers everyday. They appear in newspapers, books, articles, TV, and movies on a daily basis in the English speaking world without problems. You're cutting and censoring so many words from your videos, for no reason whatsoever, that it can actually make it difficult to follow what you're saying. 12:54 Here for example you cut out so much here that what's left is actually incomprehensible. "for the company to scratch that members to the extreme with Vibrato." I can't even figure out what you were trying to say here? The sentence didn't even make sense.

i think they censored it bc youtube demonetizes certain videos if they feature certain words such as "slut" "death" etc. as well the algorithm wont push out certain videos if they contain certain words. Ik a youtuber who censored the word 'bully' bc the youtube algorthim wont promote her video for having the word 'bully'

The topics of your videos are interesting but the uptalking that you add to your voice is really not pleasant. Trying to reduce it would make trying to watch your videos better..
