A timeline of the history of the Kansas City Chiefs. From 1960, through the golden years of Hank Stram and Len Dawson, to the dark years of losing seasons and playoff droughts. Then the reemergence into a powerhouse of professional football. Here is a short view of the 60+ history of one of the premier teams in the National Football League.
Note: Quarterbacks shown led that season in passing yards for the Chiefs. Not an exhaustive list of Chiefs' starting quarterbacks. That would be too long of a video.
Stats and records according to pro-football-reference.com

As a Chiefs fan from the very start I must say that this was like a stroll down memory lane. It's easy to see why I love Andy Reid as the best chiefs coach ever. Thanks for this great piece of History.

I'll say there Hanks was one of the best coaches to for the Kansas City Chiefs and Len Dawson was one of the best QB KC Chiefs. Coming from a Kansas City Chiefs fan from the very beginning love the video. Brought back so many memories good and bad for the Kansas City Chiefs💯🏈❤💛👏🏿

Great video I love it! Born and raised in Kansas City and I've always been a die hard Chiefs fan my entire life. I've stuck with them through all their tough times and hardships from Marty ball when we couldn't get over that playoff hump through the Todd Haley era where we would be lucky to win a game. Now that we have Andy Reid coaching and a starstuded franchise quarterback in Patrick Mahomes they are definitely making up for so many horrible years us Chiefs fans had to endure over the years.

Very well done, even if we Chiefs fans had to relive those 50 years of darkness and depression. Its nice to see how far we've gotten, and it shows recognition of how integral the Chiefs have been to the history of the NFL as it is now, despite the collective dismissal of their importance by fans of other teams.

I've been with them from the start in KC. Wow I'm old but what a ride! Ups and downs for sure but in the 90's Marty came in and we started winning again but just couldn't get all the way to the top to win a SB or even be in one from 1969 season. I was just a kids but played in the back yard with a little red helmet with a painted arrowhead on it. When Andy got here we started to really change with Smith at QB. Mahomes was drafted and I just didn't know about him till that Denver game and my eyes popped out knowing we had a good kid but still didn't know how great he would be.

Playing in the Superbowl has to be a really odd, surreal feeling experience. Mahomes wasnt as used to it as Brady so his psychology got thrown off where Bradys couldnt because he was already seasoned. Now Mahomes has a superbowl win and loss under his belt though, hes felt what Brady has felt and is becoming seasoned himself.

Lombardi did, indeed, express his opinion after SB I that he thought KC didn't compare with the best NFL teams. He also said he thought they were a "really tough football team". That's "no respect at all?" The Chiefs should've thanked him if it riled them up that much, that it contributed to them dismantling the bears the next summer in an exhibition game (I've seen footage of that game before. No names on the back of the Chiefs' players. Was that standard during training camp?).

We love to joke that if Clint Murchinson (the Cowboys founder and original owner), had never been born, he and I would be wearing Patrick Mahomes jerseys right now. I'm sure a team would've still ended up in Kansas City, and who know, that team might very well have ended up owned by Jerry Jones lol.
