There's a lot more truth to this than people realize maybe there is something similar to ascended beings that extract worship from humans to gain power.

The ascended beings in the Milky Way spend their days in a 1950s diner drinking coffee and eating off the menu. So much for "enlightenment".

I been reading up on the Stargate story arcs and recently learned this myself.Yeah Origin was a lie from the very beginning the ori were super advanced ascended beings who sought worship as gods. They take but they never give also they didnt "create" anything, the show explored this by asking questions to the viewers such as " What is a God"? , What makes one a God and worthy of worship?.

Thats a neat idea. Although, remember that Anubis wasn't all the way ascended... I imagine that he wouldn't have invested so much in the kull warriors if he could gain power like that. The lack of free will would've precluded such a power gain. In all likelihood, the power gain would be something of a retcon since Oma didn't need help to neutralize him when she finally was allowed to fight him directly.

Vellys Stardust yeah but if he did find out he could force people to worship him feeding him power, that way he would be too powerful to stop the others destroying him if he tried to use his powers (yes he still had ascended powers but was forbidden to use them) he might have even been able to fully ascend again. One thing I know there is NO! Way the ori would have tolerated Anubis they would have destroyed him

Another thing too, is the or I had an almost entire galaxy of worshipers, whereas Anubis had a handful of planets. Maybe he didn't have enough to gain any power. Which could be which could be another reason for making the kull Warriors.😎👍

A most excellent question. I would 100% start out with the original Stargate movie, and then watch all 10 seasons of SG-1, and then Stargate Atlantis, and then universe. Stargate SG-1 is a direct sequel of the original movie. Don't have to watch the original movie but it does help. As far as I know Netflix has Stargate SG-1 right now. They don't have the rest of the series, and I don't think they have the movie. If you've never experienced SG-1 before, you are in for a treat! It is a Sci-Fi in its own field. There is none like it. Very entertaining! And in my opinion the best of the series, and better than the movie.😎👍

I believe Atlanta starts in the 5th or 6th season of SG- 1. It would be good to at least get that far in SG-1, you'll know when they go to Atlantis. Come to think of it it might be season 7 of SG-1. And you'll ruin a couple of storylines in SG-1 if you start off with Atlantis. However there would be enough to know from just the movie probably do you know what's going on. It would be like starting off with Star Trek Deep Space Nine, without seeing any of the other Star Treks.😎👍

@@diobrando5746 Why every Ancient is considerate as a genius who knows everything about his own race and knows how to do working every tech they have build, when they created stargates before they discover how ascend who gives apparently knowledge of the universe? It's like if humans were all super genius who knows everything like building nuclear reactor, driving space shuttle, like this... They could have done at least one episode who shows an Ancient who is a farmer, or a waitress^^. Like if a society could prosper millions of years without manpower... That's the thing i dislike with their story. Well, and honestly, the thing about the Ancient in Pegasus gave me the feeling they were a bunch of jerks. The ascended Ancient in Pegasus literally let the entire galaxy be dominated by vampire who eats humans since thousands of years... WTF? They literally destroy an entire galaxy, have the power to patch that with they ascended power (they could have literally blown up the entire Wraiths in the blink of an eye), and they just watch, when they are the reason why they rules the galaxy. How is it a non ingerence thing, when their own race non ascended who knows ascension don't decide to do something with their pair ascended? They literally reject their own responsability, and they don't even worked together (Ancient and ascended Ancient) to do something about the situation. And i'm a hardcore fanboy of Stargate.

Humans comes from the Ori galaxy. Where the Ancients have come from, after settled in the Milky Way they seeded sentient life in our galaxy and Earth was one where the second evolution of the Ancients are born. After they return from Pegasus they mixed with the humans and teacher the Romans how to build roads.
